I think thats a bad idea. If you are unable to protect them then perhaps you dont deserve to have them...
Taking planets is a tactic of war, and like how it becomes impossible to descend someone on ascended, it is seeminlgy becomming more and more difficult to strip someone of planets with more or less unlimited supply merlins, and now you can only lose a limited amount :/

*shrugs* Planets have caused too much problems and fuss since their introduction, why not remove them at all? A lot of the code newly introduced into the game went into balancing planets, changing and removing rules about it and preventing abuse with/about it...

too many people have put money into planets... there have been suggestions to phase them out, but it would be unfair to just press delete on them.

wonder is Admin will let me sell of my hangers? seeing as they are almost completely pointless now
not sure how to reiterate this even more, but top fleets ingame cannot mass a LOT of planets BEFORE an update, with planet defs now being cheaper and also needing more fleets to mass the old defences, we're talking 100's trillions more investment needed

All those mini updates weren't needed together, each alone isn't bad, but the addition of all makes it negative.
In my opinion:
Cheaper defense planets should be possible ONLY if fleets can go down to 12% as it was, or keep 17.5% fleets with defence planets but not cheaper def facilities. One or the other is fine, addition of both isn't.
As for 3 planets per day, I think it should be 5 max at least, 3 as previously mentioned can be abused.

IT IS Ridiculous that Big empires that are napped between alliances will benefit, and we who are not napped to anyone, would loose valuable farms for just being an alliance that doesn't kiss ass to anyone or isn't being just another sheep in the herd.

lmao... seriously quit your crying and acting like a drama queen. You're concentrating your argument on the top defended planets in the game and not even considering the numerous other planets not adequately protected that you will be able to take. Maybe 5% of all planets are pretty safe. 95% of the planets out there are takeable.
It's like arguing a 5m army size will never be able to mass someone with 25m defense supers. If someone puts in the time and effort to build up their account much better than yours, just accept the fact and put in more of your own effort.
Do I agree with the planet update? Not necessarily... but then again I didn't agree with MS tech adding 30% fleets. This update counterbalances the MS tech update.

73,869 accounts. Let's say about 5 planets per account. That's 369,345 planets in the game. You want to convince me that 18,467 planets cannot be touched at all? You're an idiot. That would mean that everyone in G&R has over 12 untouchable planets.

the 5% was based on an active account with good planets that would actually be worth stealing...where does your logic actually come from? off the back of a cereal box? Also with the cheaper planet defences I am guessing a LOT more people will now actually bother defending them
how many accounts in game do you think have 200k+ total fleets? with the updates the amount of flet you need will drastically go up.
A 2 tril planet def is currently massable, but not by many.....after the updates anything above that is going to get pretty hard to mass even for top fleets
