I have the same problem, had three brokers sent too me and no messages on either one, I got the message once i rejected them though but no message to say I had any.

Case solved. Ascension always and has always deletes ALL messages.
Therefore quite often you get someone message you saying can you reject my brokers after i ascend, then they set 3 brokers, then they ascend whilst your offline. Therefore when logging in it appears you have 4 messages but there are none when you go and have a look.
