Why does the Top banner on SGW forum look this bad ? And the one on the main game is arguably worst...

I mean I'm not being funny, but the black and Grey don't match, its got little white bits all over the place. and its just a shambles.

We have such talented people here in this community yet no one has stepped up to change this terrible image.

I would love to hear other peoples thoughts on this matter, maybe its just me ? Maybe im just going mad lol.

I use twilightBB skin for forums because I'm not keen on the top logo, as for game banner, it's not bad..

There're many skins on this forum and banner comes from skins (unless manually changed) so just find one you like too

About the game.. I agree..Why hasn't something good been created? I honestly don't know..but yes, something should've been made

This game is loosing its stargate spirit.


Back in the day i was like YEah attacking a asgard planet but now im like Yeah ok but not much fun now with a race called Hobo or something.

Ahhh yes because this one isn't obvious at all...... you know the font saying Star Gate, and also the symbols from the gate, which is arguably the most important thing in the SG series.

But anyway I didnt want this thread to turn into a brawl, I wanted to change something that is letting the game/forums down. For a game/forum that has no game play in terms of motion, then surely making static images look nice should be a priority ?

If it's there, then I guess it's ok (well, when there will be an issue, I'm sure the banner will change). However, adding all main races from stargate with the gate and "stargate", would indeed be *too* obvious. I mean it's already obvious as it is, it shouldn't be made even more than that is.

Usually the problem with the banner is trying to get one that looks good on various skins to avoid having a heap of banners uploaded. it doesn't look that bad but I wonder if the two grey lines are meant to be there

I often wonder that, its almost like the person didn't view it in the same way we are. So didnt notice how it looked.

I do hope something can be done about this, a sig maker to come along, or a sig competition to sort this out.

Or.. we use Egyptian/Norse symbolism from the public domain.
Bad Wolf raises a good point. At one time the banners and layout were upgraded by DarkDayz, but they were never really seamlessly put together. It might be interesting to explore that. Could talk to Jason about it at the meet, although I think he's got his hands full with the updates.
