I don't agree about 3 decent strikers, Rooney is the only one I could see.
Heskey was completely outpaced on the ball and Defoe was completely outpaced off the ball. Crouch barely played so I'm not sure which other two you're referring to because I didn't see performances worthy of taking on the German defence in that English side apart from maybe midfielders such as Lampard.

ok, Defoe is a Top player and so is Crouch, Huskey...i mean Heskey is the biggest pile of dog **Filtered** for a striker i have ever seen and for the life of me, i cannot understand how he has ever merited a place in the England squad.

with the exception of some of the players selected, the problem is not so much the squad but the tactics and the fact that most of the squad including our main centre back JT, were played out of position.
not once did i see Capello play to any of the players strengths or use tactics capable of winning a match....

to go one further, we are chasing a game 2.1 and to progress we need to win...what does that fool of a manager do?! he throws on a player who couldn't score if the ball was passed to him on the goal line and no opposition in sight!

Brazil has an easy ride to the finals as they face very simple and easy teams, its the other side that's a concern because you have Germany, Argentina, Spain and Portugal all battling it together to see who will face Brazil in the final match.

My team ( Australia ) bowed out but my money is on Germany although they will have a tough match against Argentina on Saturday.
