Nox being removed is pretty dumb but the rest are good. Any others thoughts on the Nox being removed after 240 turns is pointless?

Re: Nox/Realm Alert - Discussion
I think the nox update is good. Why would you u want to have it on anyway unless ur playing defensively?
Are u guys trying to reduce your income? If so, sell some miners or better still, use up some lifers (its now 2 for 1) and get some ME in the process.

Wepwaet wrote:Personally I favor having the effectiveness of nox/realm alert bleed away over time. So over the course of say a week or a month of non-action on your part you slowly drop down levels til eventually you have neither on. If your active against others the time period is shorter, say you could drop fully off of both in as little as half a day. Changing nox/realm alert resets the timer. If you didn't change the cost of changing nox/realm alert then it shouldn't be a burden on people to reapply for the higher levels if they want to. You could always have a tiered system for the cost of changing nox/realm alert too. The more AT you use in the last X time period the higher the cost you pay to engage the nox(overcome their reluctance in helping you).
The reasoning behind this is that the more agressive you are the less and less the nox want anything to do with you. On the flip side, the nox are a reclusive people and only help those who actively seek their help. The more time you stay under their protection the more they feel you can help yourself.

Why would you be farming while on Nox? It goes against the fundamental idea of nox. If your going to farm others then you should be prepared to be farmed yourself. In essence, those that seek peace should be protected and those that seek violence should be left to stand by themselves.
Before anyone asks, im all up for farming as I do it myself. Im just thinking about players (such as my wife) who plays passively, much like the nox in SG1.

Re: Nox/Realm Alert - Discussion
Guys.... seriously. Farm without damn nox on. Put on critical. You'll have MORE than enough time to notice your weapons getting massed because weapon damage is now half and realm alert slows down weapon damage even further. Slap nox on only when you're getting massed or walk away from the game.
If nox isn't turned on, then you don't need to worry about it automatically getting shut off.
How difficult is that?
