Motherships, alliance support

Alliance motherships,

Second option next to sending out mothership to search for planets.
Sending a mothership out for 12 hours for alliance defending purposes. (works while on PPT too)

Attack/defense power:
Total power of mothership devided over the amount of alliance members.
This amount is added as an extra power to defending alliance mates, the mothership will jump in the frey to protect his or her alliance mates.

Damages:
Damages done to targets mothership is devided over target mothership and alliance defending motherships, relative to the mothership powers from target and alliance assisting motherships.

motherships are individual entitys, if you dont like it, work harder to upgrade your own mothership.

I doubt anyone would want to send their mothership out and run the risk of either getting it massed inderectly or suffer losses on it

See my previous suggestion for an alliance fleet under the command of an alliance admiral.

The idea had quite a lot of support but dot expect it to happen, cause admin dont read what players want, he just makes up rubbish instead and asks for opinions after he has already coded the rubbish.

Not for the individuals or lone wolfs ...

And wheter or not someone wants to risk it ... well .. that just depands on how much someone would give for his or her aliance.

tbh ... I think the game admins been doing quite well with the effort they put in programming ... there are so many different people here ... so many different wishes and desires ... they cant please all ...

not 100% the right word but the small alliances would lose out allot and the big alliance would be invincible basically if half the alliance goes on PPT and sends their MS's 1 per player as support then their strong or if 3 go on PPT and the rest give them major MS boosts "..." which adds up. the alliances would lose out because the big empires DDE ,OE,TAF etc would prob just group up in 1 alliance and then boos tup 1 member with 10 BIG MS's as feeders/suporters (strategy) instead of massing then they would be unmassable with the new update :(

so u see it might be a simple to implement BuT the extra rules and stuff required to make it fair would take ages to implement because you have to think about it from every angle and from where i sit their are allot of ways.

rules that could work

1 or 2 extra MS slot per person all MS sent back when PPT hits and the MS's owners have to wait 2 days or 3 days before they can use them again.

AS determines the Slots per 100mil so 300mil would mean 3 slots and 3x the power as your a big boy in the game with the big army. you deserve it.

and if u reach 450mil or something plague you have like 10 slots automatically.

i think those would be a nice addition to the game but only if the defenses power is decreased a bit and covert etc.

A simple edit: it shouldnt work while on PPT. (it would instantly return)
And perhaps even an max amount of motherships involved.

It would indeed make stronger alliances stronger ... thus .. hopefully .. ultimately having large alliances fighting large alliances.

It would also prevent small time alliances trying to sniper their way through enemy defences.

Lots of ups and downsides to such suggestions ofc, but I'm trying to keep an open mind. And I believe things can be done with the mothership which ultimately could lead to a better game play. Ofc, if this is the way ... noone knows yet ... but as suggestion come in .... so are the posiblities.

Totally true, but its nice to give it some thought and trying to work out details ofc :)

Thats a nice suggestion, is that in combination with the alliance mothership support:

ie

5 players sent ou ms for allianc support.

An alliance member gets attacked, has 200 mill size .. get 2 of those 5 ms's for support ?

Something like that ?

It still empowers those whom haven't worked on theirs.

Think about it, your massing, and the enemy has a 2T MS, so you get your 4-5 mates with 400-500B MSs and add them to yours. The cost of the 2T MS is far greater, then the sum of the costs of the 400-500B MSs.

Going the other way yields possible a more devastating result. To protect your built up 2T MS from damage, you get your mate to send you he's. Suddenly, your 2T MS becomes 4T, and that 500B MS you were fighting, goes from causing some damage, to causing barely any damage. Use that account to wipe out all MSs your up against, and enjoy.

Sarevok, the intention for the idea is to have it as a defence mechanism.
From what I read from your statement is that its used as an attack mechanism.

Though .. with the idea of throwing in more defences would most likely require a possible counter effect.
