well, new harddrive.

i just installed my new 64 GB solid state drive, for my primary boot drive.

it is AMAZINGLY fast, though, that might be because it's brand new. some more experimentation is needed.

but, thus far i'm liking it.

SSD for an OS :S
not the best use for it

nope, an SSD would be used for things like games
using one for the OS reduces time till failure greatly

games are mounted from the OS, your better off *primarily* using an SSD for the OS and installing/running games off of it AS WELL. Either one will act as a bottleneck, more so if it were only the game on the SSD.

i'm sticking my number one game on it as well, Starcraft 2.

however, i'm pretty sure even if i had a differant "main drive", i'd have an information bottleneck with trying to play it with just games.
