Back on topic, I know that there is a rule; I've read it. What I want to know is whether or not that rule applies if you use a quote or a link as well as a smiley and other such things. According to him, that just depends on his mood; I'm sorry, how he reads the post/feels it relates to the topic. So I wanted to get the Mods and Admin to talk about it so that there would be more of a consensus as to what breaks the rule and what does not. Simply stating the the rule stands does not help answer my question.
He told you already, it depends on his mood. You're not going to get warned or bant for posting single smiley posts in the Temple, so don't worry about it.
I've been talking to her in PM Jackums, explaining it more.
Just because nothing is actually "deleted" in Spam doesn't mean that gives a mod the right to remove any post they feel could be seen as spam. It's all spam. That's the point of the section. Explaining that things aren't actually removed and that a rule is a rule is a rule, doesn't actually explain why there is really a need to mod a Spam section for "spam". I understand the need to mod it for content like abuse and porn and the like, but is it actually necessary for Psi to do what he is doing? Would the Spam Temple fall into chaos if he were to stop removing posts?
Let's face it, the place has been dead since he started doing this. I can't tell if that is because no one bothers to post anymore or because he's removed all the new posts.
Two people can have an entire conversation using body language, why can't we do the same using emoticons if we only do so in a section devoted to Spam?
That, you have yet to explain to me. And I dislike being treated like some ignorant child for having this viewpoint. I know I won't be warned or banned for my posts, and I'm not "worried" about it. I just think it's stupid and should be curbed, and I know I'm not the only one who thinks this way.
