I see no purpose for a mothership this wave.
Since they are not recieveing the ascension bonuses, they will very soon be useless, if they aren't already.

Battles on Quantum never were focused around MotherShips so even though they won't help in battles at all anymore, opposed to being about 10% help before, that won't make much difference ;)
