I dont pretend or claim to know your reasons for your internal decisions, I only see what I stated, your big stat accounts all move to TDD where they can be protected by JT and a rota of 2ICs do alliance repair/PPTs. Those players in the Dom of....... alliances are far more vulnerable and hence dont build much. Its not an insult or dig at you in any way, just an observation.
As for training alliances, yes we had one, and since our trainee's, some of them under 1 Mill army at the time were stomped on my DDE big guns we disbanded them for their own protection. Our trainee's now grow in peace and fight people their own size out of your sight and reach.

DDE are a strong Empire, with some of the comments and actions I dont think that means great. Simple reason we keep fighting is to surrender means DDE farming and massing us whenever they please and us not being able to retaliate without it all starting again. FS would rather fight on forever than play under those terms. We have offered more than reasonable terms for peace in the past, balls in your court not ours, and this war has, and will continue to cost you a hell of a lot more in resources and reputation than it ever costs us.
