Totally agree with you Robe is should be a completely independant position.... answerable to only Jason.

You have completely disgraced yourselves, the way you spoke in that MSN is disgusting and a poor excuse of mods/admins.
You are supposed to display honor, intellect and morality.
Instead you believe as admins and mods that you are untouchable. Well, meet GrizzZzzly. He will show you that you are not.
It's a shame, because I like you all...and have got on ok with all of you, sure, we've had ups and downs - but on the whole I thought you were ok until I saw those logs.
Good luck Grizz, holla if you need anything.

Except it was on MSN, and not on the forums... it was in a private conversation (private group). We decided to invite Grizz a few days prior because he is the cooliness. It wasn't on the forums where we are actually Mods/Admins. To say we are expected to be angels everywhere we go, like on MSN, is insane. I'm not a Supermod for MSN, and Earendil is not an Admin for MSN. We are on the forums, and this happened on MSN...Field Marshall wrote:You have completely disgraced yourselves, the way you spoke in that MSN is disgusting and a poor excuse of mods/admins.

Not saying Grizz has no right to start the vendetta because he can do whatever he wants. To say that it disgraces us as members of the staff is asinine though.

When will people realise, the way you talk to people is universal...it doesn't change it's impact depending on the format. Yes you said it on MSN...and? you still said it.....it shows a lot about you and the way you treat people, and that is then taken as the way you always treat people and is relayed to the forum.
Why is that so hard to understand?

Picking on trainees new players is weak.
Jesus JT, the war ended like a year ago. There is no grand conspiracy. Just move on. You said you`re critical of induvidual mods when you feel they deserve it. Some of us are too, case in point. It really as simple as that.

In real life they have something called recusal cos professional and personal cannot be separated nomatter howmuch one tries.
I dont know why we dont have a simmilar thing here. Its been proposed before. Yet these forum fights that eventually get carried over to ingame keep happening again and again and again. And prevention would be sooo simple. Youre a mod. You dont mod threads where your alliance/ex alliance etc. are a party in conflict, just post in them as a user. How hard can that be. Yet we fall down the same trap over and over and over again lol.

That was a good idea/proposal, I really don't understand why it's not done this way.
Mods should mod anything in their section(s) where they aren't involved (vendetta or alliance war which would bring almost surely subjectivity, which isn't meant to show up in modding). Afterall, server war is over, and that was the only war that involved quite alot of mod staff, due to amount of alliances involved, where it was harder to find "objective" mods due to involvements.
It would indeed avoid many issues, even if they aren't true, as you couldn't accuse uninvolved mod to be subjective, whether accusation would be true or not...

Mods are still people at the end of the day, a group of mods on msn is like a group of workers at a pub, they are off duty and fully allowed to express themselves.
There is no foul play here, on the forums the mods generally do a good job, but you cant expect them when they are off duty to not have their own individual opinions, that would be ridiculous.
That being said if Grizz felt obliged to mass then he can do, what was said may have had ground for massing, but has nothing to do with mods being biased, on msn its not mods, just ordinary people talking.
Good Luck Ear Emp and SS ( especialy SS because hes my favorate X] )
