Re: Black Ops vs. MW2

Lol I think everyone does worse in black ops than in mw2...mw2 was actually way too easy. The toughest thing in that game was using a gun, why bother when you got noobtubes and commando

Meh the more I play black ops the more i like it, some server issues and I don't liek the current map rotation system but they've said they're changing that. And they're bringing footsteps back so finally ghost will have a counter, right now it's the only over powered thing in there with no counter.

And lol demolition in nuketown is just who can defend the bombs twice first. If you get a plant off, you're extremely lucky that the enemy didn't spawn there because the spawns for both teams are both sides of the map, there is absolutely no control! lol

I don't mind it as much in FFA still luck but you have some sense of strategy (still possible to control the spawns) but in other game types, omg nuketown is horrible. I think they tried going for a shipment but nothing can replace shipment, there was no strategy in that map but it was hella fun.

Re: Black Ops vs. MW2

Ever heard of that map on all of the Rainbow Six games? I believe it was called Killtown, or something like this. I can't remember the name right now.

That's the map they should have gone for right there. Perfect map. Multiple levels, close quarters, long distance, massive battles, excitement through and through. That's my choice for an insane close quarters map.

Nuke Town is fun as hell, but also stupid as hell.

Shipment was NOT fun as hell. Nuketown is NOT fun as hell. You would just get destroyed by Airstrikes and Helicopters in Shipment and it wasn't even funny... most people just sat in one of the corners or boxes and killed you as you rounded the corner. Hated it.

btw Noobert I liked your M2AF

Re: Black Ops vs. MW2

Lol shipment was fun if you were the one getting the airstrikes and choppers :P

And I usually was lol spawn cooking a nade throw it to the right, good timing and you get 1 or 2 guys, aim at the center alley get a third and avoid nades and get the other two..from there...you're set for the whole game :P loll

I think cod4 had damn good maps. Vacant was awesome, it had lines of sight for long lines and close-quarter combats. It also helped automatically creating the roles of slayers, objective players, support etc. on teams which is necessary if you're in a pub with random players. Strike was good, crash was just perfect. BO maps are really good imo (treyarch's always had really good map construction) but for me, in a CoD series, cod4 still had the best maps. CoD2 is close competition though, that game was fun in its prime.

I agree CoD4 had the best maps of any CoD game I've played. I don't like Black Ops maps all that much though, I haven't really "studied" them all that much though lol. Havana on Black Ops reminds me of Crossfire from CoD4 and I like it. The Maps are definitely different, MW2 maps had more of a side, middle, side design where you had to pretty much only 3 points to get from one side to the other (or so I think) while Black Ops maps are just more open and FFA spawn wherever kinda maps. From what I gathered...

Re: Black Ops vs. MW2

What most people don't understand (not pointing at you lol) is that the spawn system in this game is completely new in the sense that pushing up into enemy spawn actually punishes you whereas before it would in some sense reward you.

The maps are balanced like crazy in BO, it's the spawn system that really messes things up imo. Their idea was good, about punishing for pushing up into spawn because that does play against objective play. The mechanism was bad, they integrated MW2's revenge spawn system in with their new spawn system and that was a mistake I think.

BO maps are basically right in the middle of COD4 and MW2, where cod4 was linear (why everyone loved it), MW2 was wide and full of flanks (not really a fan of that though they did have some good maps), and BO is linear but not as "thin" as cod4 if that makes sense.

btw, the new patch came out idk how much people have noticed the difference. Connections are better (woohoo!) much much better, matchmaking works, footsteps are back, bomb defuse sound is back. I'm happy with it so far, the game actually has become more enjoyable now, connection problems have been fixed quite a bit.

I agree the spawns are probably the major problem lolz. I still think I enjoy CoD4 maps the most without a doubt.

What exactly did the patch do? Fix connections and add sounds?

I stopped reading after this paragraph. The mere fact you refer to yourself as a 'proffessional' player of a console game, that people who started late are incapable of getting what CoD is about (sorry? Did you make the game? Do you have some profound understanding? No? I thought so) and of course finally I get the feeling this was in some vain attempt to gain a measure of prestige, nay recognised authority on the issue which all immediately left me no choice but to deem you just too darn ridiculous to bother taking any notice of on this or any other topic imaginable. Ever.

I only hope other people are intelligent enough to follow my lead..alas on this forum..outlook is ba-leek.

But before I go..I hasten to add, just to finish off my post that I did indeed play from CoD4 and that as the undisputed master of psychology 9/10 people are going to say BO's is better and MW will be better in 6mths/year time..it's human nature.

I dunno..I leave the forums for 6months and a bunch of idiots start gathering the nerve to post again... it..well it just makes you want to kill something.

Read the whole thread next time, might help. I wasn't trying to gain some prestigious authority level or whatever, if I wanted that so bad I would have shown off some actual accomplishments, or even better, gone somewhere where they matter. I was just stating that I do have some more knowledge than the average player about call of duty. And btw, about the profound understanding, I believe the players had a better understanding of MW2 than the makers themselves, otherwise, they would not have taken out something that broken.

About the professional gamer in a console game - yes there is such thing. You wanna call it no life? Be my guest. Just think about how many hours you probably spent on this game then. I enjoy it.

A huge majority of the players that started playing call of duty in MW2's era, do legitimately think that noob tubing is an actual play style of call of duty. More noobtubes are used in older call of duty's now than before, as a direct impact and reflection of this.
as the undisputed master of psychology

Trying to gain some measure of prestige or any authority in the issue? Sounds like it.

CoD4 took over CoD 2, so it's completely possible that BO will take over where CoD4 left off. Do I think it will? I don't know. One thing as of right now is for sure, BO separates the good players from the bad players, and a lot of people are not going to like that and I do expect them to dislike BO cause of it. I also know that so far, every major call of duty gamer is enjoying BO tremendously.

Now that I've responded to that ridiculous post, yea some people I've heard are having worse connection problems after this patch. I did not feel this and I played on both the xbox and on ps3. Apparently, the patch for some unknown reason made connection really really good (almost MW2 good) for a lot of players, but made it worse for others. It's all over different forums and Treyarch has already officially given an apology (through Josh Olin) and said that they're working on fixing it. No one's sure atm why this is effecting people differently, but considering that this is the third patch since BO came out, people can be rest assured that Treyarch will back up their game.

(The first two patches fixed more of the minor problems and glitches that most people didn't even know about. I personally like that. Shows Treyarch is paying attention to get rid of problems before they spread like wildfire, which is what happened in MW2 with the care package glitch and the javalin glitch and models etc. etc.)

EDIT: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kP5HgICaPEE&feature=sub

That's the update Empy. Just pause the video and read through it, I was too lazy to go to the actual call of duty forums and find this thread again lol.

Thanks. I liked it too. Check this **Filtered** out though, I made it last night while playing a single game. I was bored and wanted to fiddle with it to see what it would look like.

Re: Black Ops vs. MW2

LOL some guys got owned. Stakeout is a lot of fun to use.

Get subbed :P

Btw, nvm the youtube name I have (1gnrfan92), I've had it for a long long time lol.

What I'm wondering is, since theatre mode doesn't allow full game uploads (or so I've heard, haven't tried it yet since I don't play on my own system right now), can you upload each 10/20 sec section to your computer and then just put them together using something like Final Cut Express. Because if so, I'd like to start uploading full gameplay just because a lot of people I've become good friends with through online gaming have asked me to get a third party hd pvr, and theatre mode could solve that problem for me.

EDIT: on the shipment thing, you need to get into shipment HQ without a party though lol or else chances are you won't get to call in all your choppers :P And I'm not gonna lie, I do miss those 300 kill games LOL

Re: Black Ops vs. MW2

I'm unsure as to how EXACTLY I combined the two clips, but you can make a maximum of 30 seconds per clip. So I'd imagine it would be possible to upload entire games to Youtube - the only problem is that..BO uploads them manually itself after you render it so you'd not be able to do anything unless you put all those videos together, etc etc and by the looks of it - it wouldn't be as fluid.

It could be used to make a itty bitty montage though.

I'll probably upload some more if I can pull something I find interesting off. I have a game on my File Share of myself pretty much playing 6 v 1 in Demolition. Planting every bomb, and defusing all of them pretty much. It was funny as hell, but so annoying.

Re: Black Ops vs. MW2

Hmm...guess I'll still have to save up for a cap card lol.

I find that people are camping a lot with ghost and it's really annoying me. Not playing defensive, but actually sitting in a corner with their iron sights up camping. Don't get the fun in that but meh.

On the other hand, the fourth patch that came out actually did fix the spawn system quite a bit and reduced knife lunge by a noticeable difference, the game's becoming more and more fun with each patch.

Fun fact: Treyarch has already taken out more patches in a week than IW did in their whole game :P

Oooo I like higher math

E=Mc2*SGW = ( ( U = A*S*S ) + ( JT + $$$ + E*G*O ) ) + ( FS = AWESOME + Infinity ). Therefor FS -> DDE :D

Now picture your worst nightmare, the grass turned into trenches of mud, rain drenching you, ice winds, down to rations, surrounded by death and destruction

Turning your dreams into nightmares is what we do, heed this warning and pass it on, else you will forget your serenity forever
