Okay, so I've been working on upgrading my UP planet to bring it to its full potential capacity. This has been going fairly well, but the reason I'm posting here is because I can't for the life of me figure out how the upgrade system for it is working.
What I mean is that it doesn't add the number of UP facilities I designate in the upgrade box; it adds more (no complaints there or this might not be so cost effective) but the number it adds isn't a simple integer multiple or some such.
I'm not looking for a calculator link for this, since I don't really need one. I'm just interested in the mathematics behind upgrading my planet's facilities (especially with an interest towards cost efficiency).

Question on planet upgrades
political correctness is a doctrine fostered by an illogical liberal minority and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mass media that holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.

Re: Question on planet upgrades
It depends on the size of the planet.
On a tiny planet, each facility gives you 1 additional UP. For every size above that you get .1 extra. So on a huge planet you actually get 1.6 UP per facility. On a mind blowing its 1.9 I believe.
When you upgrade the size, the production increases the same multiple of 0.1 per facility as well.
Hope that helps.
