Maybe it would make sense for the percentage of loss to decrease as the number of weapons increases.
Say if you have 10 weapons you lose 10% (ie. 1 weapon total)
If you have 1000 you lose 1% (ie. 10 weapons)
..and so on.
If it was set up as an equation relating % lost to # of weapons it wouldn't have to ever be updated either.

Not bad. Though I would at least like them to do the same thing they did to motherships in Command Stars.
In main, when you attack, if you deal to little damage to someone, that persons defence doesn't take any damage. Maybe we could have the same thing with command stars, if your command star's strike is too weak against the others ship's shields, that ship doesn't lose any shields. It could be a good idea to add to the motherships in Main.

How about:
If (Enemy star attack - your star defence)>0 (to prevent stars with lower attack than your one's defence destroying stuff)
(Enemy star attack - your star defence)/your star defence = % parts destroyed
number of parts = number attack improvements + number of defence improvements
and so the percentage times this decides how many parts are destroyed. It could be set to have a preference to destroying defence parts, since you have to get through the defence to do damage.
What do you think?
