She said she's got RL issues to resolve, and lets face it RL is more important.

If after that RL issue is resolved (especially if it took several months) she may have been away from the forums long enough to have broken that "addiction" of keep returning. I say good luck to her.

I know your her friend Jim, but I always feel the best way to actually break the addiction of coming back here is removing yourself from this community completely. Maybe that is what she has decided to do now that she's been gone for several months.

Then again she could still be on this forum with a new identity.

This place is a drug for people who do not have anything better to do. Sad, but still true.

I surf this forum a few times a day for posts about Movies, Anime, and random bits of stuff to read (like hearing SGU is canceled after the second season - the mother **Filtered**). Nothing more than that.

Read a book. Watch a movie. Run around the block. Learn to cook. Just do something else. It helps with the addiction of an online forum.

My problem isn't my inability to quit, it's that I am worried about someone who didn't give news for a while, this means by email, not by forum pms.

The thing here isn't even that I want her to come back in sgw and she said she doesn't, I could understand she doesn't want to come back and wouldn't have insisted too much then, but she said she would in her mail, and that aside, I also don't think you would say "catch you soon" if you wanted to disappear completly. She knows me sufficiently to guess that I would keep waiting for a while and worry in not that long amount of time if I didn't hear back from her, that is why I believe her issues aren't solved or another set came around. However, if I was to be branded as a another mere "sgw thing" to be avoided like I understood out of some of those posts, well, that proves I am a far more uninteresting person than I thought, if that's the case...

Jim man up a bit. People's situations in life change, and as they change their plans change. Whatever problems Juliette was dealing with at the time of her departing this forum in the summer it may have been a temporary thing and she may have had every intention of coming back here once things had settled down. But the fact is, we don't know what the problems were, and those problems may have changed her intention of returning.

You misunderstood me...I didn't say I was the center of the world or that I expect to be told all the time about everything, I said that it's probably she has problems to deal with, which is why she is silent. I don't expect people to tell everything when stuff is going on, obviously. I was merely saying, *if* it's over & things solved, then she might think about people who cared, once it's solved, because usually that's what friends are meant to do, support when there's troubles; I said myself, but that can be other people who might have cared too. Of course when big problems are around there's more important to think about than internet friends, I didn't say otherwise. I guess I shouldn't post in hurry in future, I make rather misunderstandable posts sounding a way they weren't meant to. Silly me...

People who leave usually cut contact with the "mere sgw contacts", not the few ones who also talk often about totally unrelated stuff to sgw..that's what I meant, that I tried to be more than a mere sgw contact IF that was the reason of this. Now it almost looks like I pretend something or accuse while I didn't, I just replied to those posts, as I don't think it is the case.

The realism is that if she wants to speak to someone she will when she's ready. If there has been bad news and she's incapable of making contact then it's a sad fact and even more of a sad fact is that it may remain a mystery.

I'm sure many people have suddenly disappeared without trace, these things happen.

Rather than trying to find out what's going on or trying to get in contact with her I'd let her be and let her make contact on her own terms.

That's precisely due to the amount of people who suddenly disappeared and other things like this that explain why I am worried, I know it might be perceived as a bad thing to worry...I cannot prevent it completly because it's not like if she was just another player or uu trading partner to me, she's a friend when I say friend I don't mean a pal or a mate which are more appropriate for the secondary circles of 'relatives'. I'm not going to start an essay about the different kinds of friendships existing though.
