Covert Phasing Reset

We have normal phasing with Nox and stuff, which resets at various times but covert phasing does not and it probably should.

My idea would be not to change the amount of sabs or stuff that can be done on you before you phase but instead to make it so that when you attack again, your covert phasing goes poof.

Presumably you saw that you were sabbed and you then took appropriate action and relaxed again. Hence once you attack or spied someone, you have removed your attention from watching the borders and are un-covert phased.

In reality ingame what is happening at the moment is that you can be covert phased and attack back with 0 defence and the defender then can do NOTHING against you because you are covert phased. Why should you be allowed to freely attack? Especially if the attacker has build up again? The attacker has given up their covert phasing when they attacked.

this is a great idea

the old way has been open to abuse for ages

someone can get someone to sabb them to phase them, build up a huge strike then go massing without impunity

ie: you covert phase someone, they use one attack, does that mean they're open to the full sabbing again, or just a few?

indeed, i was thinking that to,
if someone was sabbig you it wouldent be viable to fight back, as they would be able to keep sabbing.

or if you caught someone farming while they where being sabbed and they didnt realise...would be interesting

may stop those from farming with allience repair tho, would be worth checking to make sure your weapons where still their

Well it could be done like nox where you are open again to be attacked a little so sabbed a little but then I'd probably think that it should be yes you are open again to be sabbed. Probably because you will then put on nox which reduces the amount you can be sabbed.

Remember if you have weapons you are going to defend them or you should defend them adequately with spies, not just rely on being phased from one attack while freely attacking in other ways.

duno if i got it right, but once u are phased u cant hit any, u ve to wait turn change to be able to use strike to mass and if smone hits u few times u get phased again.

if nox has to reset just for a spy or attack then why having it? we already have nox removed once 240 ats are used.
to me this feature would slightly disfavor small alliances or teams.

Um not quite Lithium. Once you are covert phased, you can rebuild weapons and hit whoever you want without being sabbable for another 2 turns and even then it's only one sab.

There's two phase types Lithium, nox/crticial, and covert phasing. This is about covert phasing which doesn't stop you attacking like nox/critical does.

I reckon that would cause a mad dash for spy levels. I'd be very wary of giving sabotage any more power than it currently has. I understand the frustration of someone covert phasing and still hitting, but this seems like another "rich getting richer" scenario. I mean could you imagine trying to attack someone and being eternally sabbed out by everyone in an opposing alliance?

You are being massed - by someone with 20trillion strike. They are covert phased, they have 0 defence and 0 spies yet because they are covert phased you can't do a thing against them. And that is a situation that IS happening. Even once they give you auto war, you still stuck with no ability to strike back.

There is already a rush for covert levels anyway, so I don't see why this would make a difference.

Which still leaves them covert phased, with, in this example 0 defence, and 0 spies.

Unless it doesn't... but as far as I knew, it still did. Auto war is not covert phasing, thus you are still defenceless.
