Anyway, I will inform myself tomorrow about both Master's I could try
History of Economics from History point of view, and Economics' history, from an Economy point of view. Both being more different than their name might seem to be.
Both revolving around socio-economy and history.

However, I'm well aware that I don't live in the UK or the US, and that doing a thing for Bachelor then another for Master's, isn't really easy to do...not within the habits of my country's universities.

It is not within the habits of UK universities either, however knowledge is your friend in this case. Simply knowing it allows you an extra 'bargining chip' as it were in discussions with your University. Its up to *you* to make something happen, not anyone else in this case

As I expected, the answer was no (from the person in charge of the Masters, explained me who could, and who couldn't, I was part of the latter), despite my attempts to negociate and find a compromise.

Thats a shame then that they wont let you do something else.

Unless you are commited already to taking the History Masters then I would personally consider redirecting those funds and taking another undergraduate degree in the subject you want to focus on. You ought to be able to at least afford 80% of the course with the funds you are using to pay for the Masters, I'm sure that for the remains 20% you might find help from your family or perhaps from any grant/student loan system that runs in your country?

That might be the better course of action, especially if you work to get a first which would show your determination to prospective employers.

University doesn't cost unlike in the UK, that ain't a problem. The problem is simple: I would have to spend another three years (well, minus a half a semester I validated before switching - IF they weren't silly enough to have removed this from my record, which I fear they did) in the other courses, you might see how it could be an issue for me.
I'll go with what I can do, I'm not tempted to spend extra three years just to be able to try another Master's..because that would mean 5 years more in the university (3 years of bachelor+2 for Master's) just for getting another Master's.

Now if I was more hardworker and talented I could have done History/Economics degree and have a double diplom with larger amount of Master's available, but I wasn't, so I will have to deal with it.

I must say though I'm bit tempted with doing this, being an eternal student in university and all. XD

Why go for a Masters if you do another degree? Why not just leave it at having two undergraduate degrees which would be 1 more than most folks

You dont need to have the Masters you know to do pretty much anything, unless you want to teach at a university is in fact one of the very careers that do like you to have postgraduate degrees that I can think of

I'm getting more & more jealous of the UK system the more I read your posts (excepted university's fees, even though they have reasons to be there that I don't deny). I don't think Master's are *that* valued in France as you seem to say they are for the UK (I mean they seem to be needed only for university teaching/researching), well, diploms aren't worth that much here (but they are needed like badly), mainly due to the fact too many people can earn them, and other reasons I think it would be off topic to go about.

I don't know if having two Bachelors would equal to having a Master's, I have no clue how it would be perceived...

Afterall, this Master's I can reach isn't bad...and I suppose if few people who don't have degrees can find decent jobs, with a Master's I should too be able to find one...whatever I will want to do..
