Just like the top ranked players did'nt do? Why would anyone do this, especially after the top players started this (as they were all the cloesest to ascension).. You'd have to be stupid to not send stuff away.
thats true my ascension cost me 80% of my army cos of my huge UP wont be making that mistake again
passing stuff along isnt cheap its just conserving what you've already built and compensating for the losses you'll inccur from the ascension.
