It has been confirmed that this eruption is 10 times bigger then the one in Eyjafjallajökul roughly 1 year ago.

The UK can expect to get some ash in a couple of days.

They're saying this might be a short eruption... but it's impossible to know for sure.

Last years volcano caused a 9 hour delay for my holiday to Mexico, pretty much lost half a day and arrived there at 3am.

Thank god i've been on holiday already and am not intending on flying anytime soon.

But i have a feeling it won't cause as much disruption as last year.

It's highly unlikely this will effect air traffic as much as last year, but never the less volcano's are not exactly very predictable.

We had to close here at work because of the ash clouds that reigned over last night. Nothing dangerous just discusting.

I feel sorry for the farmers that live out there that can't go out of there house.

But depending on the level of ash in the air, sunlight would not be able to reach plants which would create low or even non existant crop yields and kill many plants which is one of the primary reasons for why yellowstone is seen as being so dangerous.

This might excite some people, and maybe scare others.

They have now in the last 48 hours detected two earthquakes under our more powerful volcano; KATLA
-The earthquakes were measures 3.1 and 2.3 on the Righter Scale.

It's only a matter of time now before our big gun blows. I heard on the news that if it blows, the land will shake and the explosion can be heard in UK and further in Europe.
