NID are tauri only, I suspect you're tauri, otherwise you can search forever. The other races have their own equivalent. These soldiers can be bought on the training page, and indeed you need a trained unit to convert it into NID.

As soon as you build an idiot proof system, somebody else builds a better idiot.
If it moves, kill it. If it doesn't move, kick it until it does move, and then kill it.

U probably didn't have enough naq i somtimes add it up wonrg and think i have enough to buy 50 when i can only buy 45 remember it's a math system so if u are 1 naq short it will give u that message if u are sure u have the naq refresh your screen and try again it could be a time lock thing like with the armory.
Also are u training them both at the same time u have to get the defenders/attackers frist then the NID teams .

If your tauri, the game gives you a discount, but the programming is slightly flawed. It says you need about 80k to buy one, but you really need to have at least 89k on hand to buy one, although only 80k will be deducted.
So have an attack unit, then have at least 89k out, then try to buy one. If that doesnt work, your doing something wrong
