1st account id37782 Oct05 - Jan10

Created by me Oct 2005, before raiding, before planets, before so many updates when the game was simpler place, when resources were limited, wars could be won, when time and effort could beat $$$ with ease. Built my accounts slowly, ascended at just 1 Mill army size, got to LG+1 at just 10 mill armysize losing my MS on every ascension as it was back then, it felt like a real achievement and fighting all the way.

2nd account id8910 Jan10-Apr11

Traded up in Jan 2010, took me a long time to trade up as I was very attached to my old account, but the offer of jumping from LG+1 to GoTaG just by selling some UU was so much cheaper and faster than ascending I could no longer resist, speed ascended from GoTaG to Unk in 6 weeks while still at war. I would have liked to have ascended my old account all the way but 6 weeks instead of 34 weeks, weeks I would not have been able to fight, when an Unknown was still a great advantage was an offer I couldnt refuse even though it meant losing my old MS since the $$$ market had crashed and other MSs had swelled to monstrous sizes.

Once you've traded once it's far easier to do it again, after your 1st account other accounts just becomes tools/weapons to be used and you are not so attached to them. This trade up was simple math combined with the new importance of covert levels, unknowns are now extremely common again by selling UU/Naq/Old account, it was far far cheaper to trade up to a higher covert than get the covert level on my on account. Sill fighting as I have spent about 95% of my gaming at war but now it has less meaning, what you kill and lose are easily recovered, resources & accounts are so cheap that anyone can get a great account with $$$s or even with the dues of an alliance so no one has to work for the weapons they wield, single combat usually comes down to who has superior Covert/AC levels however they were acquired, wars in game though fun sometimes seem pointless as they cant be won, and the new battle ground is the $$$ market, the forum, influence with admin and getting updates.

I will probably trade up again since accounts for sale are still dropping in price and resources prices seem to be stable now they have hit rock bottom.

How high the game rose, and how far it's fallen, I only stick around now for friends and in the faint hope of some overhaul that might redeem the gameplay.
