Re: Space Marine

Goes to show how little the Warhammer 40k design changed.
Bonus points for being a stable franchise.

Well 40k had the chainsaw sword first in fairness, and you can fight properly with it now

well, to be fair, 40k also has guns that shoot mini rockets as their main weapon, Fusion Beams, weapons that use the psychic energy of the bearer as their primary power source, and faster than light travel that takes the ship through "hell itself".

Re: Space Marine

in other news, my friend found Warhammer 40k Kill Team on the XBL Games marketplace for 800 MSP, which we then demo'd and then he liked enough to buy. so i've been playing that lately. it's pretty awesome. you can play as a Techmarine, a Sternguard Veteran, a Vanguard Veteran, or a Librarian.

it blends ranged combat with melee combat fairly well, though is more arcade than solid game. the kill team has boarded an Ork Kill Kroozer, and you have to go through several missions to neutralize the Kroozer before it lands on a Forge World.
