Re: Fighting is the real cancer in this game

lol. Yes... a fantastic idea Clarkey. Let's decimate the games political system. The last authentic part of it that 'works'. Bravo. Brilliant idea....

I'm sorry to say girls that Brdvas was largely correct. It IS an administrative issue that rooted this cancer and it's the ailing health of this particular type of game in terms of popularity and sustainability that has only fed it further.

Although unlike Brdvas I don't live in the land of puppies and fairies. A game where people work together to develop it with thousands of players and supposedly none of them having a selfish agenda and more, this agenda never coming to a front? lol. Never going to happen.

People are selfish. The process behind the game should have gone something like...

Jason: "Hmmm.... I am making a lot of money! Awesome! I'll add this to the game to get more money."
Jason: "That worked well... but it doesn't seem to be a viable long term adjustment"
Jason: "Now i'm making less money and my game seems to have lost X% of players. I should do something and see what they have to offer."

Instead... it seems to have deviated at the end to a thought process like....

Jason: "Well i've lost a few players but i'm still getting money. How can I milk this as much as possible before it tanks? That idea is good."
Jason: "Holy hell! Even more went!? I better add something in to keep their interest and bickering a little longer. There we go!"

Meh. Nothing will fix this thing. Stop looking for a fix. Just play it and have fun. Best case scenario things pick up. Worst case scenario you have a laugh and go out with a bang.

For a lot of people (like myself) what goes down on these forums doesnt matter. You can go at each others throats all you want. Why should we care when we dont even read it.

There are lots of cancers/

Specially like when for one example, when my friend shows explecit proof to admin that somebody is scripting, and yet when he tells admin, he did nothing.

Oh, remove any currency trading from the forum.

That might help us lil folks who don't have mountains of cash to spend. :-D

Thats the best suggestion I have seen to date. =D>

Sneaking in here to post a comment >.> <.<

If you believe the problem is old players having all the say or suggestion forums being too convoluted in arguments to be effective...you COULD always try and convince the admin to name a few impartial mods to run the suggestion forum, reading the threads and organizing suggestions and helpful info as summaries in either a sticky for public viewing or a private forum away from the common eye.

If someone managed to convince him running suggestions through unbiased people who's job it is to keep things tidy and summarized for him-and maybe who also have the authority to beat people onto topic rather than arguments and flame wars-that may streamline that bit a bit. It may also shift suggestion authority away from powerful old players "Because I have staff who pay attention to the general communities views on the game".

Course, that could be too much to hope for. Plus, what do I know, I've been inactive for 3 years. I've missed a lot.

Re: Fighting is the real cancer in this game

As if the suggestion threads actually get any real use anyway......

Ya know something Clarkey?
This has been brought up many times before and some of them by me, lol.
Nothing is going to change the fact that human beings like to fight with one another over different points of view and there isn't a thing we can do about it but try and make sure that they at least keep it clean.

Fighting is not the real cancer, an absent admin is.

Besides, fighting on the forum usually leads to people fighting in game.
