@ KJ, Yes at some points when DDE had lots of active fighters with accounts better than FS accounts it was hard, in the 1st year we kicked ass and kept taking DDE down, in the 2nd year the new alliance functions repair/PPT combined with a very efficient rota covering them, and the new importance of Covert/AC levels that DDE could afford and we could not made the fighting very difficult. Now in the 3rd year FS have upgraded accounts and still have the same number of actives, while DDE actives have dropped and many high level DDE players/accounts have left them we are having a far easier time of it. And yes numbers ( resources & players ) do count, so having others like TL in the fight is a huge help. End of the day many independent alliances, even some empires have gone the way of the dinosaurs, but against all odds FS has not only survived but fighting DDE has actually encouraged and forced us to become stronger, for that we thank you... er.. them... whoever lol
And yes we did kick ass in the 1st year, before the alliance functions it was very easy to build one big strike and take out several big defs with it, our kills and kill ratio's were insanely high. Before the increase in covert/AC levels the only real advantages DDE had were numbers ( 5 alliances at the time I think ),a few big MSs and some nice planets.
As I said in the 2nd year after the updates things became far more difficult, most the updates were geared in favor of empires and large alliances who could covert alliance logs/PPT/Repairs, who had the numbers to take the best houses, and had the $$$$s or alliances dues to get the higher covert/AC levels for a few players with superior accounts to do all the work. Also in this year most of FS were ascending with low covert/AC levels and DDE had a lot more Unknowns, finishing ascending.
Now the 3rd year, your alliance functions coverage is either greatly diminished or your alliance banks are running low as you dont seem to use them as much. This 3rd year we have had a lot of help evening the odds. This 3rd year your numbers have dropped to the lowest Ive seen in years and you've lost a lot of your active big accounts, and we basically have free reign. While FS have mostly finished ascending or upgrading now so we have more active fighters than we did in the 2nd year.
You might be laughing with your stonking account JT, it's kept your personal kills high and losses low, but thats not the case for most of DDE.
