Is there a fair time for it?
Me and some AG/G people where thinking about it and well I'm curious and wondered if anyone thought there was a fair time.
At the moment my choice would be

GMT+5: 9:00PM

GMT-2: 2:00PM
GMT-3: 1:00PM

So, coming off at 4:00PM (GMT+0) in my opinion would be the fairest time to come off. Anyone else got ideas?

fairer if its the usual staggered come off, imo... particluarly seeing as server is having a few teething problems..
maybe like 8pm (local timezone)depending on your timezone. so most ppl at home from work, school etc ... not sure the Aussies over east would like coming of at 2pm (your suggested time) ...

So, coming off at 4:00PM (GMT+0) in my opinion would be the fairest time to come off. Anyone else got ideas?
As there is a near equal division, there is no 'fair time' at which the PPTs should/could end.
It would stand to reason that should such a decision be sought, the main argument would found in the division of players across those timezones. The decision would require various assumptions regarding player behaviour which we, but not Jason, have no access to the statistics of. As a consequence, our 'guesstimates' would be as worthless as random times blurted out by anyone.
Should we require public suggestions, I recommend 15.00 GMT+3h30. That can be argued to be a universally suitable time. People would have to wake up very early or stay up very late regardless. They do this. In any case.. I support the 'staggered' idea, however I do not believe that to be the case, unfortunately.
Lord Reinhardt, did you compare remaining PPT times with your alliance mates? That would provide some baseline statistics in order to conclude whether or not the universal PPT has a universal termination point.

There is no one fair time for everyone, staggered is the only way

Currently they seem to be staggered over a 12 hour period from 10pm - 10am GMT, this favors the non-euro players ( US & Aus ) who catch most of the PPT drops.
Fairer times would be a 24 hour staggered period
Also when server is PPTed all accounts should be taken off crit/nox as right now those on crit/nox when the game goes down lose out on income.
Or better still auto-vacation the whole server and only have them come off vacation when they log in. That way no-one gets PPT drops, no-one gets income, and all the inactives are taken out of play. I wonder how many active accounts there actually are ?

Only 12 hours more then currently, and it occurs so rarely (server wide PPT), that I wouldn't think it'd make to major of an impact.
Problem with vacationing everyone, is how do new players grow? They would only be able to farm themselves, as opposed to the vast numbers of inactives that provide a great source of income and resources

Ohhhh noes, wont someone please think of the likkle people
PPT drops account for a huge amount of resources gained for the people lucky enough to be around to farm them, we can be talking hundreds of trills.
As for the vacation idea, small players dont rely on farming other small inactives, ATs cost so much that they are better off selling them than farming most the inactives.
Inactives are mostly there to pad out alliances ( for alliance bank income ) and supply UU for raiders ( multies, traders, feeder accounts ), IMO the game would be better ( and run faster ) if all inactives were removed from the ranks.

stop talking about smaller players, because smaller players dont have the resources ( Cov lvl / spyes ) too see the ones with 999 Trills in the open, so they wont win/loose anything from this server-wide ppt BS.

Have peoples UU and naq that is in the open reduced to zero as they come off the server wide PPT. This will stop the mad panic to be online in order to farm, it also stops the already large players farming huge amounts of naq and pulling even further ahead. Active players will have already banked naq and trained UU that they gained and will lose very little.
It seems fair that active players will hold what they have gained and inactives lose everything they had in the open. the system as it is favours players in certain countries and puts others at a disadvantage.

Guys, without inactives the raid function would be practically useless.
It would be removing the function and would make new players have NO means of catching up to anyone.
If we are to get more players then in my opinion we need to keep the inactives and keep their resources out.

If your get rid of inactives the raid % could be increased to make it more effective in battle and get more for your ATs against actives.
Raiding was introduced to help smaller players catch up and it was needed in the early years, but in the last couple of years it has become a tool for feeder account & trader multies, the abundance of UU available is a major factor in why wars are unwinnable and drag on forever.

well the last time PPT drop it was 5am Aussie time and only 9pm UK time...
but if you can't arrange to be on for it then that is your hard luck i stayed up for 25+ hours for
that even with a 10 hour work shift with in 12 hours time from the start of them falling i got 4
hours of sleep in the end then went to work...so if you cant get on alteast once in a 12 hour
period its your own fault for not making the time to play the game...
as for the auto vac'ing everyone well, then there is no more inactives so there goes alot of farmers farms right there also makes GnR well almost impossible to get as there is probably only 3k active accounts meaning to get 1 gnr you would have to be in top 60 to get 5 points per turn top 6...and also Vac requires minimum of 48 hours before you able to come off it... so no one can be on for 48 hours every time admin does something so another bad idea...

this is also not true i can make nearly 3 times more farming inactives then selling my AT's at the
best /highest forum price now... and with ease so it is a lot more profitable to farm inactives then
sell AT's

you cant do that either as were will all this UU and naq go back into the market flooding it making
it super cheap or crashing it leave it as is if you cant be bother to be on to farm or make
something that is your hard luck why should everyone else suffer because ppl cant be arsed to
farm and raid and just want to bank and train,, and for those unlucky few that forget to bank and
train before the PPT's fall that is you hard luck as well if you cant make the time of effort to play
sell ya account and leave..

Totally agree with you Andy
not only that but there is older ppl like my self that need to raid to replace lost UU from warring as well...
i for one dont want to sit there only growing 1 mill a day to replace the 100 mill i lost in a day...

how are you going to get more to get enough to be even worth the AT's you will need to make 40 to
50k minimum per hit... what active here leaves more then 500k out to make it worth while in raiding

get there hands on 2 mill UU sitting out making more chaos then there already is and making
impossible for that person to replace the supers they just lost and the uu as there will be no
inactives to raid from to replace that UU...
I am pretty sure that covers everything that was bought up...
