Yay! It's official.
I know that Back To Earth was a major disappointment, but I can never say no to new Red Dwarf as long as it has the original cast.
It's going in to production Nov - Jan and aired in Sep 2012.
I really hope they do a much better job this time, who knows.

Looking forward to this one.
Also, it's the same with most shows.. remakes, sequels, spinoffs.. very few *actually* succeed.

Back to Earth was rubbish, I still watch the repeats of the older series but never bother re-watching that one.
High hopes if the original cast reforms, just hope they came come up with a good new story after so many series.

I think they learned a lot from their mistakes on Back to Earth. I feel quite optimistic about the new series.

There were also talks of a moive but i guess they have decided to go series cant wait i agree with what has alreayd been said hope its the orignal cast also just to throw it in one of my favourite episodes has gotta be Pete part 1 and 2 when they turn the bird into a t-rex with the time wand
