sorry never read the hole topic just your post and i thought it was a good idea but instead of the price based on there uu/miners why not cost them 25% of what they would make on that ppt so if some one making 1billion a turn wanted to go on ppt it would cost near 20billion for them

Great idea, and should be implemented as soon as possible. The only people I could see against it are the big alliances, like the headphone gang.

well if it worked like that couldnt someone just send some of there UU to someone and get PPT then have the friend send them back

losing 1%each time your uu was passed plus 10% made into lifers you would'nt want to do that many times

you guys..........did it ever occur to you that everyone including those big guys did not go on ppt when they had 16k uu total army size. i went through those months of no ppt and eliminating it would defeat what i worked to be able to earn. and selling uu to buy a ppt is a bad idea anyways. so if someone new buys a ppt with uu then it is doubtful they will ever be able to afford anything. short sighted people like this are a pain selling uu. but alas, they are nessisary for the game

heres anotherh possibilite.

adjust ppt, funds still go to admin, but players can choose between two different ppts, one is admin defended, invulnerable in other words

the other is race defended, its cost chosen by the race commander, which we need, and a quarter of the funds are banked into a race bank, which we need, the other 3 quarters go to the main funds which is the market. Now, heres the fun catch, race commander gets some special abilities including several such as, combined race ground attack, combined race fleet attack, race ultimate raid ( capable of raiding every single unit from untrianed/spy/attack/defense/miner/etc, and killing the super units.

and this is becaus the race defended ppt can actual be violated by people and if so the race entirety is messaged it occured, and reprisal is up to the race commander.

I think it's a great idea as essnetially - for the top guys - PPT is free because of their resources.

Besides - if you have more resources, etc surely it should be more difficult, and hence cost more, to protect them?

Cannot be based on a person's UU holdings alone, for a couple of reasons.

1) Person could gain a PPT, then have UU transferred to them
2) Having a high UU shouldn't discrimanate you against a higher ranked player.

The key is to mix it up. Such that PPT costs the average of the 7days income, combined with a rank multiplier.

why isnt ppt just taken of of the supporter status threw the market place (i mean yea alot of ppls use it for there ppts) but isnt it more ment for the new=player to buy there ss with ingame stuff

i agree with budakajana for his point 1 ppls would just transfer uu out (thats if they had a small amount) but im sure ppls with say 7 + mill would lose alot doing it this way... so it would stop them abuseing ppt
(but if it was bassed on uu like the first post here said (well ppls would just train me to miners and such (then no uu) it would have to be bassed on army size (tho doing that would be a pain if u wonted to have alot of soldiers...and only a fer miners and had to go away and not be able to afford a ppt because u have a big army

If they managed to get there. They deserve some advantages. BUT ppt shouldn't be one of them.

Maybe PPT buying seperate from the market. nd based on an % of the naquada they have in their account. Using the normal market prices to work it all out.

Why not just take SS and PPT out of the market all together - the whole Idea behind it in the first place was for people to support the game using $$$.

The market should only be used to trade resources.

It was introduced to aid those lacking a bank account or just lacking money, younger players etc.. taking that away would again create that 'unfair' divide with those who have money and those who haven't.
