Not all spam requires a warning, imo. Every thread tends to go off on a tangent every so often, especially the longer threads, and sometimes a mod needs to post a message to get things back on track. The only time an off-topic post should be modded, imo, should be if the poster ignores a verbal within the thread or after being PMd.

See? Was that so hard?

Specific events and even mods help us to figure out what the problem seems to be. Blanket statements like "mods abuse their power" do nothing to actually help the forum. If you want something to change, you have to be specific about the problem(s).

It's like having a broken car and saying, "It's broke. Fix it," and not giving any details as to what is wrong with it. A mechanic might be able to figure it out eventually, but it could take a very long time. Tell the Forum Staff what's wrong, with details, and we/they can try to fix it.

I was speaking to the overall problem of people complaining with vague statements instead of specific incidents, not the one Lithium was specifically referring to. It may have been blatant in this case, but many times it is not.

I don't see what's so hard about saying something like, "SuperSaiyan is overzealous and warns people for posting the word boobs." Instead, people post rants about corruption and bias and any number of other generalized, unspecific, complaints and then expect something to happen.

I like Feri's recent thread title. "BMMJ =! impartial mod" At least that brings up the mod. The comment, "he always has an agenda" is slightly vague, but at least it's a reason behind the accusation.

Re: mods abuse

You know the rules, you have known the rules for many years. You still troll, you still spam, you still insult or take jabs at individuals, and you still complain when something comes up of this nature.

If you want to complain, propose a solution to your problem because only the whiners on this forum seem to have a problem with how the Moderators operate, where as the sensible people realize the **Filtered** we deal with from you all.

Thank you, have a nice day. <3

Re: mods abuse

With the board warnings given, I gave them to users who had previously had verbal warnings, and gave a verbal warning to those who had not had previous verbal warnings (either in topic or user verbal). I don't believe I was abusive with my modding in any way.

It's not about what you say to the car. If your car keeps breaking down and you have never told the mechanic what was wrong in the first place, chances are the mechanic isn't some engine-whisperer who can magically spot the complicated problem that is pissing you off so much.

Mechanics aren't miracle workers. You have to tell them that every time you turn a corner, the car dips to the left or that there is an awful chugging noise when the weather is cold. The same thing implies here.

But if you don't want to help fix the problem, throw the car away and go find a new one.

Re: mods abuse

I think you **Filtered** need to eliminate those pm's you send to people..with the instructions on where to post if there is an issue with a mod..and the warnings that you "proudly" mail out expressing what will happen if the instructions are not followed...or take these sections above all others serious and keep them CLEAN OF THE **Filtered** SPAM and act like you deserve the respect you whine about not getting. =D>

That made sense. If we want serious feedback, we need to respond to this kind of thing seriously.
But JT, I am quite sure you agree.. Robert's post was rather .. empty?

Maybe, maybe not..still all too often this is treated like a joke and thus mods are treated like fools or disrespected. The guy has an issue, pursue resolution instead of fueling the current fervrent disdain. Just this past week I was pm'd and warned and posts deleted for what was deemed spam..BUT...hundreds of posts of WORSE spam or REAL spam remained thus my pm's and ugly replies were just and after seeing the conduct in this thread even more so.
