When can we descend?

I have this feeling that when we are able to descend, the ascended server is not going to be very large or exciting.

I know quite a few people who dont see the point to being Ascended, and pretty much do nothing with their ascended account.
Looking through the ranks its obvious to see. Out of 20 or so pages, there are only about 9 or so that look to be interested at all.

Maybe not putting descension in right now is a good idea.

One would have to question the validity of having an ascended server at all if only a hand full of players were actually 'playing' up there...

Speak for yourself, but I do believe there are some of us that want out. Meaning we want what we lost when we ascended back. If you want to stay in ascended then that is your choice but I don't think it is fair to say that they should hold off on descension for your sake. I would also add that there are ALREADY only a hand full of players who are actually 'playing' up there. I say I can't wait for descension.

I think you completely misread what I typed.

I'm not telling Forum to hold off on descension at all. I made a suggestion as to why he's possibily held off for so long.

Why the hell would I care? I'm not really into ascension that much.
Without having re-ascended at all, I think thats clear.

Even with decent covert everyone seems to be one big question mark.

yeah, im nearing 2000 turns in ascention which i believe is the maximum so I just choose some random sucker and mass them.

I have been working pretty hard on my covert but it certainly seems that everyone else has better covert than I, ???? abound when i look at the rankings

I think one of the major problems with ascnention is the link to the main account. No one wants to mass someone in acention when their main account can be smashed in retaliation. From what I have heard most people put their main account before their ascention account and so they just sit in ascention trying not to annoy anyone.

Also players in ascention are involved in alliances in main, noone wants to attack someone in ascention who is in a big main alliance and bring that alliance down on them in main, it just isnt worth it.

For me Ascention is boring, I dont regret it because it has helped me in main but apart from that I just sit and build, I cant see anyones stats so I have no incentive to attack.......but some sucker out there will feel my wrath (however pathetic it is)

For me, ascention is quite boring.

I ascended about a month ago and I only log in every couple of days to check on things and that's about it.

If I had the chance to get my "old account" back then I would take it.

I tend to play more defencive than offensive so it's much the same as the other games usually are for me, just keep raising my income and ensure my defence is high enough that I'm not worth attacking during the periods in which I can't log-in.

OK just burnt about 600 turns having a look around and I would have to say that Ascention is full of Asgards

Looks like most people have done the 'I will sit and build defence and income' strategy which really confirms my earlier post that people are too afraid to annoy someone so they all sit and vegetate.

Ahh well i hope my little spree of attacks have poked a few people, Ascention needs livening up, there may be mass massings in the top ranks but mid-low rank is as stale as 1000 yr old egyption bread

true. its just that i simple lost interest in attacking there. so i sold my top 100 strike in order to fall in ranks... down. i was really getting to high

Well if you wanted all that then you shouldnt have ascended. It was your CHOICE to ascend, noone forced ya to. And going in you knew you would loose your main "stuff" when you ascended yet you did it anyway.

As for decention... well the purpose of ascending was to get bonuses to your main account, so basically if you were "decended" you sould loose your bonuses also.

I disagree with that. When the original's ascended. There was no mention of this at all.

Losing thing's when we ascend is enough to cope with and keeping the bonuses would be a reward. Losing them would wipe out the benefit of ascended server.

Some people dont even play ascended. They jsut want the main benefits. What about them? They just going to get descended and lose all their things in main game?

well they deserve it for nto looking after that account.
its not that hard to spend all your upgrades on life force and the stats to defend yourself. I mean if you dont really play it you should haev life force to use for this still useless stats in masses

I'm not sure I'm following this right, but basically, if a player chooses to descend, they should not keep the 5% bonuses they received for each ascension. Only ascended beings get to play as ascended races. If you choose to descend it means you are no longer an ascended being therefore the bonuses of the ascended races are lost. That much should just be obvious.

Yes.. but what I was refering to is being descended by som1 else.. not a choice we can actualy make.

i know choas is out and everything and time consuming but as a payng customer and yr long player i would like to know if he plans on doing it this yr?

yes- it will be like the weapons... you will get a % of what you ascended with deposited to bank....i have not decided if i add to your shell account, or offer a replacement of shell account goods....ie - you go 'back in time' to get what you had at time of ascension.... or you get the % added to shell 'current time' ....
now - if someone de-ascends you ..... that's another question

u guys may insult me saying i'm impatient and this isn't the only thing he does.... but i've but at least 60-80 dollars into this game and he clearly said it would come out last yr which is over 3 months ago. Its nothing personal just would like him to concentrate on a project that i think would be more important than some new game that could be set to play at a much later time.

just my little rant.

and give me at least some respect and not just say he's working on it and it'll be out soon/when its finished.... i think thats the most used sentence in sgw history.

and yes i'm impatient and talking like a **t but thats just my opinion coz i'm getting pretty bored of ascension as no-one is attacking anymore anfd over 50% of the ppl have 2000 turns
