login bug

the following message has been shown a couple times so far when logging in on via gatewars main page. (removed my game login email)
code is entered fine, name and email are added in automatically via listing in IE

Name: ~mak~ and mail: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx and password entered, return no player accounts.

retrying will get me in no problem, i'm just wondering why it shows up in the first place.

Had a similar problem, I was unable to login to main at all despite my details being correct (I double checked and tried a few times) and while a password reset worked, this is the second time it was necessary. 1st time was the 28th october, but I dismissed it.

During the problem the Quantum site and the forum were giving me a 404 file not found error message which stopped after I cleared my browsing history of cookies/cache etc. Then I was unable to login to quantum (note: started quantum tonight, affect in any way?)

I used the "forgot login" for both accounts, then accessed them both fine. Inconvenience more than anything else, so long as everything still works, I'm a smiley happy bunny!


Like repli, I'd like to why/if it's going to be regular... Might make me grrr eventually lol

Just out of curiosity have you tried just entering the first character of your username and that only for that box along with your email and password? It should work in theory, but I'm just curious if it works for names beginning with non-alphabetical symbols.

I had this on several occasions recently...

I finally counted the number of **** in the (saved) password line,

and if I recall correctly, FF wasn't saving my password correctly...

at least on one occasion, and then other occasions, it's been as other's described...
a "ghost bug"...
