A mass email?

So now that server seems to be up and running smoothly (nicely done Jason ) perhaps we can look at bringing the player count back to what it was before the move? I recommend a mass email to all the registered gatewars account email addresses to bring those lazy inactives back in.

If we get lucky, we might even end up getting a lot of other inactives back in the game

A single mass email shouldn't have any negative effects so might be worth a try. What do you folks think??

The email can say something simply like: server has moved to better, faster systems, improving the game. Go try it out at...

well could also be a good cleansing of ranks tool too, those still in rank that don't reply within a certain time frame get deleted.. starting with those whos emails bounce back as invalid

No Admin can't spam our emails with asking them to come back. However, he can email us to notify us changes in the game. So, he can say the game has had a recent move to a new server that has provided the game with a very stable, faster working server to run off.

No. A newsletter implies various emails be sent when enough material is present for another newsletter.
Just a simple reminder. Certain people's forums spam my inbox with "OMG WE MISS U WERE ARE U" and that kind of mail.

A well written message avoiding the usual spam-box requirements would be quite good.
