What is a good mass?

The best wars are fought outside of the battlefield most of the times anyway. But for the ingame mechanics numbers/losses/kills are they key to a succesfull killingspree or a mass suicide. I personally dont hit under 20k spies but hit every defense that i can take (wether it costs me more then my opponent or not is irrelevant to me, as most of the times the resources are provided by your opponent or their alliance comrades

Like a good bashing for massing.... I think kill/death ratio is not so fun, but obviously necessary at times... back before vacation sometimes just loved the fun of throwing everything at a player and watching it go splat until the enemy gave up trying to repel haha
