Petition to stop farm fest

As the title says. I'd actually like to perhaps play this. It's cheaper than the old republic and takes little time.. but i'd perhaps enjoy some measure of competitiveness. However.. after playing many many games of this kind I can say. The farm fest and early SS kill things.

So.... why not have the initial protection reduced from 48 hours to ONE hour and instead of having trading and SS have an internal market on the game that you can get access to by either donating $$ or donating your higgs particles as a suggestion.

No, the way I read it, Semper wants just the one 1-hour PPT.
Register; and when you have registered, you will be online to play. It seems reasonable to consider the time right after registering as one of the most active moments on an account. So why would you PPT them at all, I wonder.

So just give the new user the 2 days worth of income to spend in that first hour?

but it isn't quite like that. It ALWAYS ends the same way. Everyone get's 48hrs of ppt and then 80% of accounts miss it.. 5% of them FARM it and then become overpowered **Filtered** to put it simply. Hence why I say just give them an hour to play under protection and then starting the right way will actually count for something. Otherwise I might as well log in, spend everything on attack weapons, spies and keep my uu as miners to get income, then re-train them and wait until the farm fest and shove it all into UP and the same things hoping I get there fast enough as I tentatively wait hours of my life away for people to come off ppt.

HOW about.. having to thoughtfully invest those starting resources to set my account up for a long game of war, politics and fun? That'd be ca-razy, deciding the fate of the game in the first 72 hours is exactly how i'd like it to be.. lmao.

Yup there's no need for 2 days of ppt, as said when you make your account you are, by default, around to spend your goodies, an hour is plenty of time to do so.

well in which game u ve played u didnt have the beginer protection?

also a PPT doesnt stop u playing at all u can drop it at any moment. u just dont have to be silly enough to read what ppl says and not what yr mind understand.

i know man , u are partially right but not at all.

in 100 users that join the game not all are from the same time zone, so their beginer protection ends in diffrent times and that 5% of farmers waiting are the luckiest or the the most actives that keep watching.
anyway its not a fair advantage considering the high % of users not banking at all their first PPT. in this case it looks like theres no interest among those who joins the game (fake players).

so to avoid a farm fest admin can give as a bonust what an account can make in 24 hours + 1-3 hrs ppt so one can have enough time to setup his account or read what are the options to invest without caring of being hit.

All admin has to do is make accounts not show in the rankings or generate any income/UU until 1st log in, since he's already said beta accounts will be reset but kept for live launch. That way only the people who actually log in are going to be potentially farmable and there will not be a mad dash to hit all the farms dropping their 2 day starter ppt all at the same time, which they would do if he launched the game with all our accounts "active" regardless of people actually logging in or not.

Semper is right this game is going to be RUINED if there is a stupid farm-fest that will probably not suit everyone to be around for.

We already seen how badly effected the Beta has been by a few super-accounts taking advantage of some huge naq infusions, you give a small number of accounts access to a massive farm fest and you can kiss goodbye to a significant number of players right away.

It's supposed to be "new player friendly" not veteran player friendly.

one farm fest at the start of the game isn't going to destroy the world, at the very least it will give a spread of stats to people, if anything just set everyones turns 100 and stop the production of turns for the duration of the ppt, that or give a larger spread on the ppt time so one or two people don't shoot everyone down as they come on.

I wish I had your innocence to believe such naive trife.

.De, TAW, ATW, second Q wave, original chaos, TRW (massive example), SGU (original one), WW2, SGW:O, LOTR:Wars, Ogame (new universe)... I can go on. Suffice to say it always goes the same way. 48 hours, 24 hours of ppt. Farm fest and those who miss out spend the next age trying to catch up. The farmers/the lucky ones become the next cock-sure tit to think he's ETL, always form some suped up alliance that thinks it's DDE in it's prime and they end up driving people off because there is ALREADY a massive gap of pointless competition they didn't really work to get OR they actually know how t use their advantage, cultivate it and dominate until someone with a healthy disposable income comes along to either topple them, ally with them or buy their account. There is occasionally the person with no life who farms quite literally 12/18 hours a day... (that's NO exaggeration) who might come CLOSE.. but really they're only competitive until the guy who's had the power from the start (and is, ergo far more insulated in his power surrounded by other like-minded powerful 'bullies') recruits them or kills them.

Every time (some of those games had multiple starts and some of them I played for years) the effects of the very first farm fest were still present long after. I say it again. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

A single, one hour start off ppt is more than enough. If you're worried about there being too little resources available then up the starting amount...

As for beta accounts.. Jason. Put them on vac.

As for SS. Jason.. stop it from being for ingame resources or bring it in later, way later.

Be good newbies. Use my wisdom.. I offer it freely for once without too much derogatory slur. Do it right from the start...and who knows we might get a day or two of what main should have been before the servers finally close down.
