100mil uu raided/day? I don't think you coudl do that not with everyone else attempting to as well.
He is right all the uu farms would dry up there wouldnt be a single person around with more than 900k uu out

I think the idea has merit. And would be even more worth wild, if there was a way to kill every unit like the good old days.
No more lifers, and a way to kill attack units would mean that yes, you can spend a thousand dollars on the game sure, but all that investment in vulnerable to being destroyed.
Also, I totally agree with what ~Phoenix~ said about covert levels. You may think "Na, its good. The AS helps new players catch up" but it doesn't. Yes, they can have the same SIZE, but if they have covert level 32, and the old players have covert level 39, the new players can't see didally squat. Sure, they can attack and test the old player out, as long as there willing to accept someone with covert powers in the orders of 10x their own, come along and sab their 100m weapons with a few hundred thousand spies, their gonna learn pretty quickly, its not all about size anymore.

i know this has already been knocked but i think with some tweeks it could become viable... id like the idea of increasing plague cap a significatn figure but leaving the raid and trade cap at what they are making the only possible way to grow through having planets and officers aswell as ofcourse RAW up ... whilst doing this making the planets and officer cut off at approx half of plague cap leaving only room for growth being RAW UP ... this would then make it a challenge to grow and a further growth production loss percentage like on ascended untill at plague cap say at 1.5bill army growth is then reduced by 50% on a sliding scale until at plague cap where ofcourse growth is slowed exponentially

but then those people made of $$ will buy their way up to 2bill and plonk 1bill UU into a defence making themselves invincible to all but others made of $$ as well as having spare 1bill spare massing UU. that ain't a game i want to be part of.
This idea has some potential. It would also make it much easier for newbs to get in the game. The trade prices would plummet and naq and uu would be much more accessible, not that it really needs it. Besides I'm all for no caps. If you have the time/ devotion/ motivation/ cash/ will to get a 50tril army size then you deserve it. I don't believe in limits; there are none in life, and there is no need for them in the game. It's all a matter of opinion, of course, and I know many would disagree but that's where I'm at.
Besides, what the game really needs is a few good tv commercials to bring in new players. Just another opinion of course

limits are based on games to make it fair.. this wouldn't help smaller players at all as uu prices would rise becuase of the demand for them.. the idea sounds good but will be death trap for any non $$ spender.

Back in 2007 admin doubled the army caps. That had a massive effect on the markets, and the game as a whole. UU and turn prices jumped up, and farms dried up so less resources were available. But still some players got to the new caps very quickly, and others took a few months to catch up.
And that was doubling the army limits. You are proposing an overnight increase of 5x the limits, which is far in advance of what has ever been done. In short, it would make the gap between the average and the big player exponentially big for at least a year. Someone gets to those 2.5b miners in a week and sits there with the income. And YES, some players WILL be able to do it, be it through $, insane farming or even alliances building single power accounts. The massive amount of income on that large an account will have tremendous potential and can be used to build levels very very quickly. All the while the average player will be struggling to raid with limited resources. I would bet it would take over 3 months for the average army size to reach 1b, whilst the top players have 2.5b the whole time. In short, the effects would be too exaggerated, and those few accounts would be untouchable for a year or more. VERY bad for the game.
Having said that, your idea does have merit. It just needs to be done in a different manner. Doubling the army cap, then potentially doubling it again 3 months later if neccesary. That would get the benefits you are after without the drawbacks of a few players being 5x bigger/stronger than everyone else - they will only be 2x stronger at any given point.
You could also increase the amount of naq generated per miner.

Well I think this idea should be implemented now considering we do have newgrounds we can make it easier for newgrounds players to build up faster to our AS and other things that make our accounts super awesome. So we close the main server to new accounts except those that wish to move up from newgrounds after sometime. Then we apply this 5x update in order to further evolve the gameplay not just for the larger players but the average players as well.
