I know how to play SOYD on guitar^^ Actually not just solo guitar, but also a few minutes of rythem guitar :)
And 2cellos - one is from my country and the second one from neighboring country. I like their versions of songs :)

No need for a book mate - if you know anyone that plays guitar - ask him/her to explain some basic things and show you some chords and stuff - to give you the foundation on which you can build. If you have enough will - you'll learn to play it, if you don't have enough will - you won't learn it by using books and stuff either. That's how I learned to play it too :)
