Being Gay is a disease, in some cases it's a disease of the mind (mental problem, need to seek counselling) and in some cases it's a disease of the body (chemical imbalance messing with the mind). in both cases the patient needs help, not marriage, and defo not a same sex partner.

You guys should know me well enough that I HATE ANY intrusion into the life of a private citizen by the state so long as said citizen has done no wrong but in this case...the state should kill them all such is my hate and contempt for these sick people...of course, the trouble with the state taking care of this problem is that the state are nearly all homo's themselves....

Conundrum or irony?! anyways, they should all seek immediate help or be put to death...PERIOD!

As for anyone who seriously believes the above quote - surely you're the one who should be put to death? Actually advocating killing someone just because they love someone of the same sex? Sounds like you're the one who needs help....

Going back to the actual conception of same-sex marriage, I really don't see why people hold the above views, or JT/Roket's view that homosexuality is somehow responsible for the decline of a country? Is it really that scary for some people? Live and let live

I find it funny that a man such as myself who used to be classed as "normal" and moral for having a lovely wife and 3 lovely boys can be classed as abnormal for hating someone who themselves are abnormal, and those who are abnormal and immoral can now be classed as "normal".



Just in case there is any doubt with what i said before, i was not being sarcastic and meant every word i said...having said that, homosexuality CAN be cured....

If memory serves, last year (i think) a British doctor was fired for curing people of this particular "disease".

There's really nothing that can shock me out of that statement. One of my best friends is pretty damned racist and believes that she has damned good reasons for it. However there is pretty much no good reason for such broad hatred.

Morality is a bull **Filtered** concept based largely on religious teachings and imposed on society as a whole.

The fact that what people believe to be moral changes drastically from person to person, region to region is proof of this.

Further, common sense does not exist. That which is often heralded as common sense is simply knowledge generally believed to be known to all. But since knowledge must first be learned, even the must basic of tenants, and not all have the ability or opportunity to learn everything, there can exist no common sense as it generally understood.

Puerile forget that common does not equate all and that knowledge must first be learned.

If homosexuality can be 'cured' George, then surely you could take the same view on heterosexuality, asexuality, pansexuality and what ever other types of sexuality. Which in my mind is a pretty shallow means of looking at things. If you don't like who others are (whether you believe that they chose the way they are or whether it is the will of nature) then I guess that is your problem.

Supposing your best friend, after years of torrid mental self loathing and underlying hate for himself due to repressed homosexual feelings finally mustered the courage to tell you that he was gay and in fact had feelings for you? Would you run a mile, banish him with complete rejection or remember that this person has been one of the best things in your life for a long time?

On the 2nd paragraph, let me reply by telling you a short story....

I had a cousin who i grew up with from aged 6 to 35. we hang out every single day, i was closer to this cousin than i was with my own mum and dad, brothers and sister. i got married and started my own family but we still remained close and saw each other at least 3 times a week. he got married and things changed. something happened that was so petty i can't even remember what it was. his Mrs got offended and he sided with her instead of explaining things to her and allowing me to apologise...i told him to **Filtered** off and never speak to me again for making things MUCH worse than what they really were...

Back to the topic though if I may - You say you wouldn't hesitate to drop anyone? That's a bit harsh isn't it? If someone came out as homosexual and were your friend before hand you would be inclined to tell them to go their separate way even if they made no advances on you whatsoever?

Sex is sex. It's so massively stigmatised though by people who can be argued as having closed-minds. I'm not suggesting you are entirely close minded George, because you have a lot of outlooks on a hell of a lot of things but this, I dunno, baffles me for a man of your intelligence.

I just hope for you kids' sake that one of them doesn't grow up and struggle to be able to tell you he/she was gay because of your stance on the whole thing.
