Long story short, been playing SGW for about 5 years, Ascended, not so long.
Took a break from both of them for a couple of years, and I'm now trying to get things back into ship-shape. Am I beyond the point of being able to catch up with people? Not in terms of actually aiming to be #1, but just in terms of generally keeping up in size and production. The way I see it, I'm tens of thousands of turns behind, and probably quite a few quintillions of DMU behind.
Is it 'impossible' to catch up/get back to good strength?

depends what you mean by 'catch up', and it will depend on what stats you have, especially planet count.

You can catch up to a mid-range account in about a month or so by using up all your turns every few days. You can get to "hard to descend" in a few months, but you'll really struggle to ever get up to the very top accounts...

yes, its impossible to catch up to the top accounts, mid level is easy enough because most those people are only semi active or not all about growing, so you can get to middle level and hard to descend, but never one of the top (unless yous start buying every bit of dmu that hits the market for like a year lmao, which would be a couple quadtrillion naq worth, ![[056.gif] :smt056](./images/smilies/056.gif)

You can do anything you set your mind too
But obvious things like total planets is impossible unless you start massing some chumps ![[047.gif] :smt047](./images/smilies/047.gif)

Catching up with the top will only work if they go on vacation for a few years.
You can however get your hands on a decent account.
Check the Accounts market, thats your best chance of getting back in to ship shape quickly.

Everything is possible.
Are you willing to go to war for this purpose?
Even catching UP with the Big BOYS, but all requires Time and Dedication.
Knowledge, anyway cames first.![[sge.gif] :sge](./images/smilies/sge.gif)

Re: Is it 'impossible' to catch up/get back to good strength
The reason i say impossible to catch up is cause you only get so many turns, you cant buy any more, and the top accounts are already active and never cap out on turns. As said, only way is to buy dmu via cross server trading (and many top accounts im sure do that as well, he can get to decent but not best by just playing ascended, and he would have to buy tons of dmu to do so

if you are talking ascended, yes it is.. (not so sure with the new demi gods dynamic to it).
You need to put the hours in and not be too fussed about how much dmu you hit for while you are building..

Section Admins - who will be 'in charge' of the section in question. They will be responsible for the overall feel of the section, the setup/structure, and most importantly the community/users in the section. This will incorporate the old 'ombudsman' role. And insofar as the Section Admin is responsible for the users, they are also responsible for the high level mod behaviour towards the users.
So -as a user - if you have an issue with how you are treated, rules, bans, whatever --goto the section admin... They are there for you!
There is no 'reporting structure' in this setup -- tech, mod, and section admins are all on equal footing, each with their own (somewhat overlapping) responsibilities.
Mods report directly to the mod admin, and indirectly to the section admin for the section in which they mod.
