The license does give several ad-free channels that generally give decent stuff, but we still see no reason to get a TV so we'll be forced to pay it. we've come across cases where people have been forced to pay it even when it was physically impossible where they lived to get signal in.
Besides, we don't mind using computer for everything, our place is too small to truly put a large TV to full use. but before we can truly put a second monitor to good use, we'd have to upgrade the graphics hardware on the computer. Its only decent, not good.
anyways, we might have gotten quite a bit off the stargate topic here... time to return to it...
