I loved the original, was one of the first sci-fi / horrors I remember watching from childhood and I first watched it on my B&W 12' portable TV thats how long ago Im talking lol So was reluctant at first to watch a remake.
BUT
It was worth watching, obviously it couldnt have the same impact now that the original did so many years ago, and the suspense and atmosphere isnt the same having seen the first one but it is a different movie, same monster and some very familiar parts but told in a new way with a beautiful twist......
