Galactic Council - Give it another chance

I know that I said this before, and lost interest, but I will say it again, and mean it.

I will give it a chance... if it don't work, it don't work.

I do like the Countdown Timer to the next meet, I think that's a great idea.

I have other ideas as well...

and I do think this attempt at representative democracy is worth a shot...


And if you do show up at the admin meet, and you're not part of this Galatic Council......

So what?

By all means, show up and speak your mind... no one is gonna have you booted, or shouted down, as that's not what this is about...


Getting more people and more solid, concrete ideas at the admin meets
is a large part of what we are going for here, yes?

As for this group being too small for representative democracy...

There are a lot of people who are semi-active,
who can best be reached by their alliance leaders and commanders,

who still have something to contribute, and might spend more time on the game if they were heard...


Besides, a representative democracy isn't where Daku's ideas are listed with every other member of FS or any other alliance at an admin meet...

It's about the representatives taking a general consensus on issues from the alliance to the admin meet,

AND / OR looking out for the best interests of their alliance, and friends, and officers...

I might be an LG+, with a 289 mil army, and a nice ascended account,

but I still have unascended members that I care about, and wish to look after,

especially since I too remember my days as a unascended little player.

If the Galactic Council do genuinely manage to pull enough sway to monopolise Jason's time, then Mr Individual should give his comments to their alliance leader.. If they don't have an alliance leader, then that's their issue. When people are at the meet, it can sometimes be hard enough to actually be heard as it is.

Prehaps JT, but what's the point of recreating something that fundamentally didn't work.

The ideal here, I think is to find out whose willing to talk, from there, those people can establish exactly what they want the Galactic Council to do?

I think you'd be better off steering this in a direction as opposed to just vindicating the people currently discussing it. If it isn't a group of people being the mouths of the community, then I am not interested. If it's just another forum for people to create collations and talk about diplomatic issues ingame, count me out.

Don't try and resurrect it, start it again.
