Apparently "enjoying nature" makes me a "fag" as well.
Apparently because I dislike drinking, and partying or picking up women I am a "loser" or an "idiot".

I just have to say "Where all da smart people at y0?"

Nothing 'gay' about nature, in fact in the UK living outside the cities in the countryside is highly desirable, most of us simply cant afford to.

As for partying, drinking, pulling etc.... well it was a lot of fun when I was young but you kind of grow out of it. I used to go clubbing twice a week, now it's every few months only on friends birthdays and special occasions, and I prefer proper dates nowadays to pickups, guess it's just part of growing up lol

Smart people depends on the definition, Ive known people with very high IQs, I've known people with great knowledge of what you might call their specialist subjects, but the only truly wise person Ive ever know was my Grampy, and his wisdom didnt come from intellect or education, it came from life experience, from humble beginnings to world war, to raising a family and living through some huge changes in society.

Wish I had listened more to him when I was younger.

Re: Earth's Future

I never knew my Grandparents, sadly. The only Grandparent I truly knew was my Dad's father who passed away when I was very young and even then I barely knew him.

All I can tell you is by smart, I mean wise. Smart people can be just as dumb as anyone else.

I want the people who know what it means to love somebody, love something, and cherish somebody or something rather than know about physics.

Personally, if I had a choice of time to live in it would definitely be in the era of colonization in the Americas or back in Japan when they had the way of the samurai. The main reason I choose those two is because of the lifestyle of those cultures. It seems beautiful to me to live working with the sweat off your own back rather than having to pay taxes for damn near everything because we waste so much and still manage to have all of our economies crash.

Both era's romanticised in stories, hard times for most that lived in them and the same elitism we have today with a few at the top and many working their guts out below. Simpler times yes, but virtually no healthcare with high mortality rates for injuries and illness, shorter lifespans, little security, no social care, even slavery.

You can pick any point in history where being at the top is good, but the majority have always been at the bottom, society today and throughout history is giant pyramid scheme lol

True, they have been romanticized but I would still prefer to live there rather than now because back then - anything was possible.

Now? You cannot go out, claim a piece of land and build on it without somebody going "HEY! WHAT ARE YOU DOING? YOU DON'T OWN THAT!" <_<

You mean lay claim and fence off a piece of land which the native tribes considered to belong to no one and free to roam over. You want a time before everything belongs to someone so you can make a piece of it belong to you lol Be a part of the property rush and destruction of another peoples far more natural way of life in order to spread the old European ways, with slavery, the war of independence, and a civil war to look forward after you finish off the natives.

And if you start a family in these times, TB, Polio, SmallPox and all the other sicknesses, even if you avoid the wars great injustice and high odds that your children will die young, high odds that your wife may die in childbirth.

Like I said over romantacised, a great many people dreamed at the prospect of 'anything was possible' I wonder how few actually got the dream, at what cost, and how many fell along the way. Anything is possible still holds true today, some people do get everything from nothing, I dont think the odds of success are that different, but was is different is if the dreams fails today it's not an all or nothing, if you fail today you dont die, you just fall back into the mediocrity and obscurity of the masses.

Re: Earth's Future

Been a while since i've done any research into my original passion of ancient history (which directed me to NWO stuff in the first place due to the rewright and deliberate lies about human history), and you are correct...again correct me if wrong but wasn't it the nutjobs in the new age movement and the morons in the Jehovah's Witnesses (the JW's predicted the end of the world more than any other group, could be wrong) who deliberately mislead people into the meaning of the original Mayan text?

I really have to disagree. Life is a constant struggle for those not at the top, regardless of era. Then, they wished they lived in the future, where people would be flying and there would be no disease. Now, we wish we lived in the past, where "everything was simpler".

It's a well known scientific idea that the universe (at least, in thermodynamics) tends to go from lower to higher entropy; from order to chaos. I'm tempted to think it's the same with human civilization, though we somehow find new ways to keep up with the chaos.

There's a lot going on quietly in the US that is pretty disturbing. But I can't remember a time when US politics haven't been really disturbing. :smt011

Curious concept, I dont agree with it though

Firstly I dont believe in Chaos, all things follow patterns, all things act & react in predictable ways to each other, the more variables you add to the mix the more complicated the patterns, and when the patterns & interactions become to vast and complicated for us to comprehend we call it chaos. Only human arrogance can decide that just because seeing the patterns and predicting the interactions is beyond us it must be chaos lol It's like calling illusions magic.

If you knew all the properties of every type of particle and energy and how they interact, all the exact positions and relative motions at any single point in time, you would be theoretically be able to determine their all there interactions and positions at any other point in time past or future.

Some like to claim that 'free will' means that even if everything else was predictable human choice would change the results, but again thats our own arrogance and ego, we are just biological machines, the product of our genetic potential ( Hardware ), our life experiences ( Software ), and the environment we are in.

Our attempts to 'bring or maintain order' as you put it, to stave off what we perceive as chaos can only be done in the broadest terms, laws, rules, indoctrination, rewards and punishments, more varied and complicated than the 'Carrot & Stick' to control a beast of burden, but basically the same principal, the 'masters' make, enforce and encourage a form of order which will keep them maintain their positions as the 'masters' and keep the rest working to provide for them.

Back on people wishing they lived at some point in the past or future, it's just another form of the old saying 'The Grass is always greener'. Ive never met anyone who was truly content with what they have/had, everyone coverts what others have had, have now, or potentially could have.
