How do you fund covert 38 (and higher)?

That's my usage this week and I haven't played that much. Only a farm run here and there amids reading for my exams. So I don't think 94k a year is too active unless he farm with a +20t strike.

How long in terms of time did that take you?

I can use 500-800 turns per change. Even at the higher end of the scale, i'd have to be online for 30 hours during a week to use that much. To me that is very highly active. A full time job is anything above 37 hours a week.

Might be hard considering your in a war, but try high strike.

With 25-30t strike and a min hit of 350b I was farming close to 25-30t a day 6 months ago while working 16 hour days, 7 days a week. (3.5 times what you considered to be a full time job, though I only work this 6 months out of the year) While I was working I was only playing about 2 hours per day or 4 turn changes, maybe 5 turn changes.. and that's only farming the first 20 pages.

The only problems with this strategy is you need high defense, high covert and high strike, and you need to keep it at least a few weeks for it to pay off.. then another month before you have the NAQ for covert level. However, a month and a half of doing this and you have paid for your stats and bought 38 cov level.

Again this might now work for you being in war and in a large empire, I had the luxury of having no NAPs and farming whoever I pleased during this time..

Play the market..

Buy when it's cheap, sell for more... Doing this got me to 37/37 over a year ago.. might be harder to do nowadays..

or

Sell UU for cash, invest it in black market turns, raid raid raid, repeat.

Much faster than farming and if you know how to, who to and what to raid you can make upwards of 50m UU a turn..

Stay focused on the goal.. don't get half way there and then say "Damn my MS sucks.. ooooh now it's top 20!! My covert still sucks though... :'( "

Take major advantage whenever the holiday black market comes around, sell your UU or NAQ for cash around the first week of december.. because thanks to the doubled rates the player market will crash for the next 4-5 months.

Selling price for naq in market three weeks ago, 13c. Selling price for naq now, 25c, and some people buying at 30c. Extreme profit.

Above 20c for 1 t naq is ridiculous lool specially in this day and age on how big bundles are bought , expensive naq = a faile gamer field by people hungry for money so much so they don't care about the games economy and those big hard fast wars that keep this game going and interesting now cost more than 2x previous because of greedy people will ruin the game fr anyone tryin to gather or buy naq because there will be very little ingame

It takes 3 weeks for an aggressive farmer like me to get the amount required - 2 months for a casual farmer if he actually started it with a frame of mind to see it till the end (rather than get distracted and start spending elsewhere).

Chatting with another player on the subject, and doing a bit of maths. The following comes up:

Covert 38 costs 832 tril naq.
Average hit of 30b naq profit using 15 ATs (which is about my average).
416,000 attack turns must be used to make 832 tril naq.

The other player points in over a year, his outgoing turn useage is:
Attack Turns Used(1) 94,642

Now this particular player definitely fits into the category of active. Much more so than I. He logs in often and farms when he has time on the days he is not on PPT. And still it takes over 4x more farming than he has done in a year.

So daku - 2 months for a casual farmer? I'm thinking you need to check that one again. More like two years.

But I do agree with your point about it's more me being tired with the game after having played it for so long, and that is ultimately where my lack of commitment is coming from. I've spent more than 5 years of my life sat at a computer. There is a whole world out there to explore, hense my reluctance to sit for months on end farming for a covert level.

I agree nowadays it's MUCH harder to make money unless you have contracts..but in the old days it was ridiculously easy to make money off this game. We are reaching the stage where profitability has topped up, although some still trade just to ensure that their alliances or themselves are able to compete..so right no probably little or no profit, but no loss either.

i've used Attack Turns Used(1) 57,126

since march 11, and i consider myself very inactive... not sure who you were refering to as that example player, but instead of using MT's convert them to AT's and use this at's to hit as low as 20bil naq you'd make twice more naq than from ppt unless fourscore ppt helps to protect planets and defs...
