Referring page (not sure if this is the best title)

This is just a time-saver suggestion, something that has nagged me for a while.

I'm sure we've all had a time where we've left our game tab open for half an hour and found ourselves logged out, when we go to click on one of the side buttons (Attack Log, Market).

What I am suggesting is that, when this happens, when we log in again, it should automatically take us back to the page we clicked before.

TL;DR - Click "Market" and find you are logged out -> log back in and page loads to Market automatically, instead of "Base".

I think this is possible using PHP by using something like:

It's simple to implement, and makes the website a bit easier to use, something which I'm sure Admin would be interested in

Its easy to use anyway. The longest it takes to get to a page is 2 clicks....

I have never had this problem. Cannot imagine anyone would have it either. When you have done nothing for a while and think you might be logged out (because your cookie settings suck), do you not just open a new tab from the page you are on, log in and close the tab?

Except why would I open a new tab if I still believe I am logged in? So going by that:

Click. -> You have been logged out! -> Click back to get to the cached version of the page to be able to click one of the links -> Click center mouse button on any link on page -> Enter PIN (all details saved in form) -> close tab.

Quite a few more steps. You forgot to note finding out that you are logged out.

Remember, this is under the assumption that you are unsure if it has logged you out.

Techniques like these are intended to take you back to the page you were, not where you wanted to go. Though, a variant of it could be made.
Should be easy to implement, were it not that the session log out takes you to different pages.
The first directs you to that near black page with session time out blah blah, but the second and consecutive next one take you to the home page.

Every page would need extra coding and testing, even more so if you wanted to go to the intended page. Meaning admin should add programming to every page and would need to test it.

You would get:

hours of Admin programming versus 3 seconds of user experience

do the math ..... never gonna happen

Or if admin has php includes set up (I'm sure someone has mentioned that previously) all he has to do is edit one php file, and any page which includes that page, will automatically have it work.

And even if he didn't have php includes set up, it would be simple to copy and paste the code into the 10-20 separate php files used for this game, within 10 minutes.

Fine, though I doubt any players with some experience in being online for a few hours on end run into this, and casual players have enough time to spend those 2 seconds.. Still I do not see admin taking any action, because frankly, it would not be worth his time. (See Duckie's comment which makes perfect business sense.)

PHP always has server side includes, outer domain includes can be turned turned off for security reasons.
He would actually have to use a bit of sepperate coding for each page, it looks a like, but not the same.
The technique you are referring too is used in larger frameworks like cake php or zend frame work.

Either way, it still takes hours to complete and test. And with all the suggestions and things mentioned that havent been done to improve the game, my best bet for this to get implemented is nihil.
