Clarkey is the forum's biggest troll. It really is funny how he makes comments on a game he doesn't play.

Jason has never really been an attentive game developer/owner. The whole "family debate" is null by the fact he still collects a damn paycheck from sgw. It isn't a hobby for him, it is an income source. If he wasn't making any money, then yeah be with the family, but he does make money.

I would LOVE to see Jason sell sgw, I would be gitty with excitement at the notion. He is such a nonfigure, that anything ANYTHING is better than what we have now. The reason the game is slumping, is because Jason has always only cared about making his own money, not about the product.

Atleast hire someone to takeover main. Take your paycheck and stop wasting everyone's time.

What gets me is that the community complains about Jason and his tweaks and bad updates yet it is the community that force him to make these bad updates out of selfishness. None of you can see that and that is why you all blame Jason for this game going downhill, but it is a good proportion of the community that is making this game worse.

And I dont care if I dont play this game anymore, i played it for many years enough to have my say.

On the game's going downhill from 2005 - now, yea, and it has gone downhil.

We are complaining about a game we play that is being wrecked by an admin that pays less attention to this game than I do to my carpet. Oh, and I just realized my carpet is brown.

P.S. If you want to get legal about this, Jason is operating a business from Canada and Canadian laws do state that a business is supposed to provide a "reasonable" good or service for the income it generates. It's pretty damn easy to argue that in this case, it hasn't.

Besides all that, there is absolutely no reason for the unsatisfied customers to complain about an unsatisfactory product. And before the "you still play this game" argument comes into play, we play it for the people and not what the game is. If I could have the same people transfer over to a better, more fun game, I'd do it in a second. Sadly, that's not possible.

And where the shouting in admin chats is concerned Juliette, that's not true. A couple of people decided to test out Jason to see if he actually paid any attention to his user base right after the TL/FS vs. DDE/mH war ended. We created a reasonable update proposition on these forums, it was in general agreement, we showed it to Jason and he claimed he had read it. We then had a completely different person discuss the same idea to him, and lo and behold he has no idea what he was discussing. That person showed him the topic again, and then Jason FINALLY read it.

And then we never heard of it again.

Now, on the "likelihood to kill doesn't get you convicted part", yes, it doesn't. Unfortunately, proof does. Unfortunately, admin admitted to the proof being, in his words, "conclusive". That scriptor is still around.

We have every right to complain when it is our enjoyment going down the drain. Why wouldn't we? We've put as much, if not more, time as admin into this game and yet we're seeing no committed approach from Admin while we have tried our butts off to get a response from him.

And Juliette, when I had issues with my last ISP, they had the problem fixed and they were within their terms. Unfortunately, it took them 3 weeks to fix it. Were they in the wrong on paper? No. Do I have a right to complain about crappy service? Yes. Same case scenario here. On paper, he's right. Doesn't mean his service is good and it doesn't mean we shouldn't point that out.

Those that spend $$ on this game are paying for UU, Naq, ATs, planets etc. And you receive those when you pay for them. Therefore you ARE receiving the services that you paid for. So Jason is providing the business you are paying for.

For those that don't pay $$ for anything are just playing a free game.

Let me know where I've said that we didn't get what we paid for? What I said was, the service to the game from Admin is crappy. I've pointed this out to you before, but it seems you still haven't learned. Figure out fundamental differences in what people say, instead of coming on here and twisting words.

The game is still up and running after 7 years, there is hardly any downtime these days, Jason attends meet on a weekly basis. Maybe your definition of reasonable service is too high.

Game being up has to do with a server payment, not with Jason actually contributing anything.

There is hardly any downtime these days because, after months of downtime, someone finally told Jason how to make his server work.

Jason logs in to meetings on a weekly basis - there's a difference.

My definition of service is listening to the mass user-base of a game you're trying to run, instead of ignoring them because "you can".

And your argument so far, has been that "he can ignore" when my argument is that "he shouldn't".

So the game being up has to do with a server payment and nothing to do with Jason contributing anything yet he is paying for the server? You may want to claim its the customers paying for the server but that your choice to part with your money.

cmone in 2005 there were some 600 players online unless mistaken now 140 and half of them not bothering much with the game , just selling.

we have had players leaving due to game changes now we see groups of players leaving.

if one says its going downhill then you are wrong sir, its already down.

Maybe its time for those complaining about the game to grow out of the game and move on. Just a thought. I still find it interesting why only handful of people complain at one time, but never a majority.

Shows how much you know, the ratio drop has been very bad over the past 2 years especially. When I joined 2 years ago the counter used to constantly stay at around 750 or so. It's barely at 150 these days.

Game's not alive clarkey, and if you ever actively played you'd know that.

I'd be surprised if 2 years ago, i.e. 2010 the game had constantly around 750 people online. It's been well below 300 for several years.
