I tried to attack someone who, as far as I could tell, had weaker defense than my attack. My intellegence logs show no signs of sabotage to me, yet the attack log was filled with many cryptic statements like:
-----
Cora resisted the aggressors with:
Massive armies of Defense Clone and Defense Drone
They were armed with enough weapon power to force you to turn and run before getting a good look...
The forces of Cora fought back with all they could, and managed to inflict devastating damage on SigmaEpsilon's forces! So much damage, in fact, that while running away SigmaEpsilon could not accurately judge the extent of the beating...
They managed to eradicate 0 of SigmaEpsilon's troops.
Unfortunately, Cora's Undercover Agents were too good at what they do for you to effectively find, target and eliminate
The forces of Cora tore apart those of SigmaEpsilon
The forces of SigmaEpsilon flee from the battlefield! One could see glory on the face of the victors, and spite on the defeated!
The forces of SigmaEpsilon could not secure a foothold in the realms of Cora!
The armies of SigmaEpsilon were forced out of the realm of Cora in a none to glorious fashion! The defending forces were simply too much for them....
There are lessons to be learned here - old cliches of your race abound... biting and chewing...eyes and stomach...enemies and friends... too little too late.. stitch in time...books and covers --- but... one would guess that those defeated who lived were simply thankful for escape at the time, and running to become better prepared for the next excursion. It is sure that Cora will be considering a return visit to SigmaEpsilon!
One additional fact: the forces of SigmaEpsilon were so completely overwhelmed that they could not even breach the perimiter of Cora! As a result, it appears that the weapons and forces of Cora suffered no damage!! Was it a suicide run? Proving some sort of unknown 'point'? Or maybe a tactical strike to recon the strength of the opposition? Nobody is 100% sure, but one thing is sure: the attack was eliminated before they even got close, and had no effect on the target!

What happened? Did this person just have insanely high def/covert? If so, they why was he/she ranked so poorly? This person was not ascended and not on PPT...
Strange attack log

Yeah, at a certain point if you have a tiny percentage of their def, you will not be able to see how much damage they do to you and will get the
'freaking loads of damage' in place of say 4,208,082 etc.
You should be able to recon them and see their exact def.
As for the low ranks... before the recent changes, you could find asgard with 2bill in the 5Ks, after the updates and inflation, those same acounts could easily be in the 6K-7K range.

As Flavar said it's no that uncommon to find low ranked players with high defences. The Battle logs weren't always like that though. Forum included that to stop alliances using multis to gauge the strength of enemy players prior to massing.
I've had a few low ranked players blindly attack my forces. The largest slaughter I can recall had me doing 379.642.857 times the damage they did.

There aren’t any periods in that number, nothing but commas
Alas the strike action of the poor soul that threw himself so valiantly against by defence wasn’t near 500K, mind you a 190 trillion defence would be nice
I’d be the official spokesman for Emcee Hammer, hell not even Mr Norris could touch that.
P.S. Just some quick calculations. For an Ancient LG to have a defence of 190 trillion he/she would require 1.058 billion Super defenders….
And they would also have had to fork out over 730 trillion Naq. Even with those billion odd units working their fingers to the bone in your mines, it’d still take over four and a half months to earn that….
Not I young grasshoppers, not I.
P.P.S. 730 trillion naq would net you Spy level 36 and if those billion units went covert your alliance would be about 348,407 times more powerful then TNC just by having you in it not to mention that you’d never have to send more then 1 spy on a newbie sabotage mission….Ever! Bond, James Bond
Well viewers I know what two things I’m going to be asking Forum for when next my birthday comes around.
