I've been stitched right up.

Need to track the little bigger down!

Bought an account,

All smiles and butterfly's,

Account access is blocked, contact admin who say someone said account was there's.

Admim Sue said account has gone back to someone else,

Had even proved Paypal payment, then admin say there's nothing they can do for account sales, bit of a contradiction considering they have obviously just helped someone?

Any thoughts?

This is just awful. Really awful. I truly hate to say what i'm going to have to say but, as far as i'm aware the admin do not take any responsibility for private, outside game, trading.

The problem you have here is that 'person x' (seller/scammer) has contacted admin and said words to the effect of "i've forgotten my password/typed wrong email in changes/blah/some other filthy untruth but i have all the details before the change and can even give you some in-depth account history/activity; please can you help me get my acount back?". Of course admin has chosen to help them get it back, possibly, due to the level of information given by this 'person x'.

You, on the other hand, 'person y' (buyer/scammed), have no claim to the account at all, as far as i am aware, under the rules/guidelines/experience of countless other people in 'circumstance y'.

Personally i would never trust anyone enough to hand over a completely uninsured, electronic, transaction. I find it barmy, inexplicable and confusing. I'm happy to be confused though because i know i will never find myself asking y.

You might be able to punish 'person x' through paypal but i would not hold your breathe - you are probably feeling blue enough as it is.

Many are scams - and just because they are here, or are by recognizable players/people, does not change this.
IF YOU TRADE FOR REAL CURRENCY, AND GET SCAMMED OR DONT GET WHAT YOU THOUGHT YOU SHOULD, WE CANNOT DO ANYTHING TO HELP YOU, so do not even ask...The answer is "Sorry. We cannot help you. You just lost your money."

We had a TAF member have this problem under similar circumstances...an account with a murky past (unknown at the time but under further investigation we found out it had changed hands a good dozen times). One of the previous owners requested access back as apparently his friend who gave him the account wasn't supposed to be allowed to give it away to someone else. Our alliance member almost lost the account as part of that (Admins gave it back to the old owner) but we worked something out with that owner and kept it in house.

I hope you can get your account back, although sad to say your options are probably going to be limited. Best thing I can recommend is contacting whoever now has control of the account and figure out who in the line is the scammer...if it's the new owner, sit on him/her. If nothing else, whoever it is can be ostracized from the community

I got a message from Apostle, so I assume he was attempting to buy my account.

I was selling my account and was scammed by someone with msn xdaku@live.com. I lost control of the main account to said person but kept the ascended details, since payment wasn't made as discussed. I immediately notified admin I was scammed and they should hold the account while it's being investigated. It took admin awhile to respond, but eventually they determined the account was scammed from me and returned control of the account to me. Admin returned control of the account to me today. Cannot now get hold of that prick, and Paypal won't help as it was a virtual good, no tracking number.

I can understand your frustration, as I was scammed as well, I've put lots into this account, and when I lost it for nothing, I was upset. I notified admin immediately, and awaited a response. I know that doesn't help you at all, but that's what happened. Sorry you got scammed. But I couldn't let my account go without a fight.

Sorry to hear you're out of pocket because of this Apostle.

But it makes me wonder if anyone stops and thinks about what they are doing when they trade with people they don't or hardly know. The scammers are only successful if you are too careless with your belongings.

Can matter not be reported to palpay and payment stopped/reversed?
