Have emailed admin to see if there is any chance of getting some form of compensation, not sure what he can actually. Im not looking for $ from him, but it would be like to at least have a similar account to LKs.

Well, from experience... When I was involved in a little April fools prank with Tok'ra and my account was banned/deleted. When my account was given back to me after much feet kissing, my planets were all gone.

I had an ID change on an account a few years ago due to some unforeseen circumstances, and then too my planets were gone. Seems customary for admin.

I have a series of pms in my mailbox from the one that bought it from LK. I guess the person was surprised I booted it out of DDE. they may be useful to help this investigation.

Can you let me know when that was, when LK was scammed and when the scammed account was booted from DDE, Im still trying to put together a timeline of events

I know the account was called 'Demon' and sent out invites to a few people from an alliance called ~Blood Oath~ on the 4rd.

Apostle said he bought it on the 5th and he put it into Ricos under his own name on the 6th


I see from a forum search that someone called Velocity who was in the Blood Oath alliance attacked a Shadow Dominion member on the 1st. Incidentally the Velocity account now says 'New Owner' in the title. Got some other bits an pieces but the links get more and more strained and remote without a clear timeline.

Velocity account was sold today, i had no part in this scamming.
Account Nowner was a friends account (never played by me) which has also been recently sold.

Apostle definatly owned the account when it joined Blood Oath (that was meant to be my retirment home) stayed a day then he left to rejoin ricos.

On a side note though, this fake Xdaku guy/gal also tried to buy my 39 account for a higher price than the buy out, but i went inactive on msn before the deal happened (rather lucky when i think about it)

I read something on page 1 about getting the local enforcement agency involved. I absolutely would, this is criminal and the days when stealing in cyberspace was not considered actually stealing are very much prehistoric now. These activities will continue and continue unpunished because Kingdom Games do not have the time, resources or indeed ability to investigate. It is crime, it is fraud. People should start getting the law involved and then we shall see who has the trousers to risk scamming with the possibility of Mr. Plod coming knocking to take you before justice for a possible 3 month jail term.

I think the biggest problem with getting any kind of compensation from paypal or law enforcement is that the money was sent as a gift, granted that was to avoid the taxes but to law enforcement it means it was a gift ergo the payer did not expect anything in return ergo the payer can't say he got scammed.
The best you might get is some sort of compensation from Jason, although I doubt that will happen as the game states they are not responsible for player to player trade and that one trades at his or her own peril.

I do believe you should get back what you paid, and I sincerely hope you do. But the circumstances don't exactly play in your favour

Its not about 'deserve' it is about ownership. I pointed that out in my first post (although the actual situation turned out to be a little more complex than person x vs person y since there was a person z involved also). It boils down to, simply, the account was never sold and so the original owner never lost ownership. Original owner proved this satisfactorily and had account returned to them.

Yes I completely agree with you and do strongly believe that if admin intervened in LK's favor admin should intervene in your favor by getting your account close to what LK's was. If admin intervenes for one, then admin has to intervene for the other(s) as well.

Apostle if you dont try your ass off to get it back, that money obviously doesnt mean that much to you. So forget about it, if you cant do it, its your responsibility to put forward the work to get your $ back.
