Admin already said it was a browser plugin, and it doesn't take too much common sense to put two and two together.

Farms getting 0'ed at the same minute for over 14 hours straight. User using a browser plugin to give himself an advantage to farm. Both of those are facts.

So, a browser plugin (or combinations) is letting him hit all farms at the same time (milliseconds difference).

Anything beyond that might be speculation, but that much is clear. And that much was clearly enough to disrupt gameplay for selfish needs for over a year. The fact that all he got for it was the loss of covert levels he doesn't use/need anyway, is a little disappointing.

you know how much you sold for cheap, the prices of naq would have stayed higher for longer, the game wouldn't have died half as fast but no you had to cheat for a personal profit you act like you didn't kill the game, but how much naq have you sold? How much more would naq still be if your Trillions if not Quad's naq wasn't sold? remember supply and demand you sold TONS for cheap... Think about it sorry if the other post was rude but man my favorite thing about this game is the market, I respected you as an honest person... and I find out I wasn't competing with you because you used some "gray area" thats garbage

Your scamming was a "grey" area so move along please. And blaming Ice for half the death of the game, my god.

When a bug is being abused or exploited quite often adminJ will be lenient on the player because adminJ considers the "bug" his fault as it is in his game. He has always been like that. Best case scenario here would be for adminJ to block whatever Ice was able to do, but whether that is possible I have no idea.

Why is it that the only people who don't understand the relevancy of Ice's actions to the big impact it had on the game, are the people that don't actively/constantly farm?

So...basically a useless point. Fact is, Ice did it. Btw, quite a few of us have had access to scripts that other scriptors have used, and a lot of us have refrained from using them. I've seen a few of those people "cry bloody murder", as you put it, and they have a right to do so.

When you can't farm as well as you should be farming, in a game where farming or spending are the only ways to play, and the reason for that is Ice, you will have unhappy people.

Ice opened a thread to the community, the community is responding back. I can't remember the last GW related topic you liked anyway, Clarkey. Not a surprise you're here throwing stones at people for caring.

Do you think banning him will make any difference? He could probably do it with any account. Ok so adminJ's punishment of removing stuff from his account is like a slap in the face to most of you. But, he's obviously not going to risk doing it again is he, adminJ will most likely have his account on a watch list for a while which he does on a lot of accounts when they are in a "grey" zone for multi.

Maybe the resolution to this is for this "grey" zone to be detailed in public and made a "green" zone and everyone can use it, then there is no problem and no-one has an advantage. You think banning Ice will be justice served, but I bet you anything there are others using the same method that will remain quiet.

Yup, daku is right, people who farm a lot know how much effort and commitment it requires, using plugins/scripts etc cheapens the game to such an extent it really becomes pointless for a lot of people.

A lot have already left for a variety of reasons, a rather pathetic slap on the wrist for well over a year of massive personal gain is most certainly not going to convince anyone to come back, probably force more away if anything.

And what do you care Clarkey, you don't even play, technically speaking you are not part of the game community, you are just clinging on to the forum. Now yes we are having this debate on the forum, but it's about someone cheating in the game, getting caught and having a pathetic punishment.

You honestly think a couple of covert levels make any difference to Ice? He was doing his cheating to make money, not boost his account, but you know what, imagine what he could have done if he used that 36 quad of naq to boost his account instead of selling it...

I think banning Ice would have been a better act than now, anyway. It really would be very easy to monitor scripts and/or suspicious activity if Admin wanted it done. I have every high income low def account on my farm list. Some accounts that even Ice is missing. I could easily give that to admin and he could monitor a few account's logs now and then.

And if that doesn't work, it would still have been a better gesture than what was done.

It's not the $$ portion that's the problem Clarkey, it's the fact that people who wanted to play the game the way it is meant to be played, couldn't because of a cheap tactic. It wasn't a bug in the game, because you can't block a combination of plugins the way Ice used.

Just to point out adminJ never said it was a browser plugin that was being used. What he actually said was the issue is 'what is a script'. Browser plugin was an example for that 'issue'. Whether it was a plugin or not only adminJ and Ice know for sure.

Who uses tabs in their browser? Is that not an unfair advantage to a user that uses one tab when farming or has a browser that doesn't have tab facility?

None of you know exactly what Ice did yet you feel you can comment on this "grey" area and claim it was cheating when the game admin half feels it was and half feels it wasn't.

No, he wants to be in the clear with everyone and play the game in his words, "in the green zone". On the issue of profiting, most account sellers now make a huge profit selling and reselling. I remember ETL saying that he made much more than admin did, so should we go against them and ban everyone that makes money off the game? We should also ban admin Jason then.

I said nothing about cash spending being good or bad, it's just clear to anyone with half a brain that someone who has been selling naq for the last year+ and cheating to gather that naq would want to maintain his customer base and continue his sales.

That cash spending would have been, and if people bother to remember, was controlled to a certain limit before Ice came along. Reason? More people could farm more, and less $$ was available to buy.

Again, build a farm list, actually try to play the game at a high level rather than playing to JUST to talk to friends you've made, and let me know how it goes. Then reduce the amount you farm by 75%, and you have over 1 year of gameplay for non cash spenders.

Random massings for the most part drew away new people. Cash spending drew away people who couldn't keep up. Reason for not keeping up - For over a year the farms were being emptied within a second of a TC.


Now to Clarkey, tabs are a part of the gameplay that does not come about by installing extra mods/plug-ins for an advantage over proper players. It also doesn't empty out 30 pages of farms in 1 second. And, again, whatever technique Ice used was an ability that wasn't intended in the framework that Admin set out. It was something, which btw doesn't take too many brains to deduct to be a browser plug-in/mod as that's the only "grey area" possible in this case, that Ice added on.

A script is also something you add-on, btw. The only difference between a "script" and a browser "plug-in/mod" in this scenario is that one's usually "corporated", while the other's a private add-on.

1. People still think or wish to think i farmed 36 Q which is wrong information, check few post's up with explanation.
2. I do care about what i lost, if i would not then i would not build it ... i allways build up my account when i could. Their are NAQ sellers which invest nothing into their account so they would care but i do because i worked for it and invested it.
3. My tool wasn't automated, can say which one by admin agreement. So i have allways worked and do it myself but with slight advantage which i won't use anymore.
