I'm sure I've heard it explained 5+ times, but...
WHAT is influence? It can't decide between rank ~2,000 and rank 2. I keep hopping between ranks 14 and 340.

it's a mix of planet count and charisma and other levels if i can recall...it just trips out when you change some of the powerups sometimes, but it goes back to normal eventually. It's not going to kill you so don't worry.
