Re: For Americans
It's choices like these which prove our political system is **Filtered**.
Translation: I haven't determined where I will cast my vote.
Much like the last election, I prefer an alternate candidate, but these days that would merely be throwing my vote away, as only the Democratic and Republican candidates get any publicity or air time, and if you haven't paid for an ad on TV most American voters don't even know you exist. Sadly, most foreigners know more about our political system than the average American. It is sad and depressing to think about.

You are too right.
Often when I speak to US citizens about your politics and political system, they don't have a clue about what I speak of. And not to mention if I bring up European politics... I just give them a bad headache hehe.
Of course this doesn't apply to everyone. But sadly it seams to apply a too large percentage of your population.
It's very sad, to say the least.

I'm curious though.
Obama is far better then your last president. Wouldn't it be better to keep him, then to have Romney for example, in the white house?
Would you consider it do do more for the country not vote, then to vote for the better candidate ? Is your point by not voting, sending the message that you want more options?
Cause usually it just sends out the message that the people don't care. Which is bad.

I don't vote because I don't believe in giving someone you know is a poor choice the job, simply cause the other guy is worse. Don't care if it makes sense or not. Tis just how I look at it.
And after he pulled the plug on our moon base and failed all over the BP spill...
I would not support Obama's reelection.
I respect anyone that does vote, and believe I have no real right to **Filtered** about an elected official having not taken part in the process myself as a voter.
SS brings up an excellent point to our political system.
Much of the candidates run on campaigns which are comprised of two kinds of ads.
1) Why I'm the right person for the job.
2) Why the other person is a terrible choice.
90% of all ads produced by candidates are classified in category #2.
Add to that the fact that most Americans get their political opinion from the ads they see on TV, because most can't be bothered to sit in front of the news these days, and you get poorly informed people basing their decisions on mere political propaganda.
Not only that, but even the informed voters will vote against someone by voting for the other guy.
I would say most of our Presidents in the past 50 years or so have been elected solely because the majority of Americans were voting against the other guy.
I'll admit, one major reason I did not vote for McCain was because there was no way in hell I would support Sarah Palin as VP. She'd likely shoot McCain on a hunting trip and take over the Presidency...or his bad heart would fail thanks to the stress of the job, and we'd still be stuck with her. That said, I believed Obama when he said he wanted to stop the partisan **Filtered** and try to get both sides to work together.
He's failed miserably on that, btw.
Both Romney and Obama have their pros and cons, like any candidate.
The biggest reason I would support President Obama is his political stance on social issues like gay and women's rights, and trying to ease the financial strain on college graduates and students.
The biggest reason I would support Gov. Romney is his political stance on gun control, economics, and shrinking the size of our government. I say economics because I'd like to see if he can actually make a difference, because we've all seen what Obama's been doing.
But the most important thing of all with having a new President is that the first year of a new President is spent "fixing" (read: changing) the laws, decrees, etc of the prior President. Nothing gets done for a year. And the final year of their Presidency is spent running for re-election. So we only get 2 GOOD years out of each President. It's pathetic.
If our political party system were not so polarized and unwilling to compromise, so much more would actually get accomplished...for less money, even! But it would be very unreasonable for me to ask politicians to remove their heads from their asses and do the jobs we elected them to do.
Congress is worst of them all, though. I **Filtered** hate Congress! The House, the Senate...they both suck, and they spend their whole time trying to **Filtered** us over while they continually vote for their own pay raises. **Filtered** **Filtered**.

And lose the retirement and pension packages. This isn't a career people; it should be a civil service. Allowing them to vote on their own pay rate is ridiculous. No one asks me or my coworkers what we would prefer to be paid.

Re: For Americans
The only good person we have is Ron Paul. Because Obama will continue to bankrupt us. Romney will tax the middle class to death. But least their is Ron Paul like a beacon of hope. Hopefully he will turn the US around and make us great again.

He can't. He lacks the electoral votes to even be in the running for President. He's been in Congress for years and hasn't managed to improve anything. As much as anyone would like Ron Paul to take charge and fix things, he is unable to do so at this point.

Wait, are you pro or anti gun control? Because Romney is a lying, two faced piece of **Filtered**.
As for the guy that said Obama is better than the last president...
No. Just no. Obama is no better than Bush and Oromney is no better than Robama. I mean, Romney and Obama.

Ain't votes supposed to be secret and all?
Politics are a dangerous subject. If you piss off the wrong people, they might start massing you with PMs. (Stalking and threatening, in the forum version)
I'd vote with the hypothetical third party. Or fourth, or fifth, depending on how many sign up for it.

Re: For Americans
Third party just means any party that isn't one of the main two.
Trying to decide between Obama or Romney is like trying to decide which gang you want to beat you mercilessly; Bloods or Crypts. You're a damned moron if you think there's an actual choice there. The only difference between the two are the signs they throw and the colors they wear. Doesn't matter who wins, they're still going to **Filtered** your **Filtered** up and leave you for dead.
People like to say that Obama is the worst president ever. Now, I **Filtered** hate Obama. I think he is a terrible president and blight unto this country. Still, when you compare his sins to Bush's sins, they pale in comparison. Sure Obama worsened the debt. But so will Romney. On the other hand, Bush wrecked it in the first place all the while destroying our rights. Neither candidate is worse **Filtered**, neither candidate is going to improve our nation and neither candidate is better than the other.

Jack right? I was being sarcastic about the 4th/5th party.
You have a point, but the swearing just makes it look like regular government bashing, just sayin'.
